I'd like to give this a try, so I'll sign up for the B team if it is going to happen.
Succession Game, Anyone?
|
Alright, since sooooo had to drop out, and timmy827 was the first one to post in this thread, I came up with this roster:
Sullla Kodii timmy827 mostly_harmless Garath There seems to be more than enough interest to run another team on this scenario - maybe with a different civ to get a different perspective? Zeviz and TheArchduke can take charge of organizing that effort, if desired. Also, a thread is up at CivFanatics and the first turnset has been played: http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=289313
Ahhhh, SG land. I'll have to pop in and do one some time, but I'm not really free enough at the moment. Sounds like the roster filled up fast, though. Good luck.

Fortune favors the bold.
I think to bounce back from this SG, you should do the fall from heaven scenario next :war4:!

Yeah, this one clearly didn't go quite how I expected...
My civ time is almost entirely taken up by the Apolyton Demogame at the moment, so I don't think I'll be starting any succession games soon. Someone else is welcome to organize one, of course. (Back in the Civ3 days, everyone wanted to organize SGs! For some reason, it hasn't quite worked the same way with Civ4.)
Okay...you've been the "explore the scenarios" guy, but if you are willing I'd take on organizing the FFH scenario. My only rule for signing up would be you CAN'T know FFH (which stinks in a way because I like SGs with Ozbenno and uberfish). I've had about zero time for civ recenlty, but I've got enough free bandwidth now for this .

I'd love to play a succession game for FFH however I feel I better disclose some information first.
I've never played a succession game and only briefly looked at a thread or 2 so I'm definitely starting new territory there. My FFH experience is limited to about 75-100 turns and some limited reading on the civfanatics boards. Clearly my civ playskill level is not up to where most of the RB community is . How much of a time committment does a succession game normally demand? I have time to commit, just not several hours a day if you know what I mean. I love civ, and learn quickly when given instruction so I'm very interested in participating in this game and would love the opportunity to try (for me) 2 new ways of playing (succession and FFH), if you'll have me
Okay, that's one . I usually spend about 5-6 hours/week on a normal succession team. That's one session that takes about 2-3 hours, and then another 2 hours reading turn reports, perusing the saves, and strategy discussion.
