I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

oh - and I just noticed that the screenshot I posted last page shows that I am in the lower right corner - sweet.

I've run my worker over to the desert hill and put in 1 turn of mining. As it turns out, next turn, I have to run him back to a forest grassland hill if I want to start chopping as soon as I can. Poor little fella - lots of running around for not much result.
Not much more revealed. Current thinking is that my Southern scout keeps South and is (hopefully) not blocked by mountains while my one of my two Northern scouts hangs a right and heads North after clearing the mountains while the other one keeps going West (with maybe a bit of North thrown in) ... depending on what I find. You can see my warrior making his way to lake lookout to see what he can see.
My score is last as I am only size 1. It seems that most people grew before starting a worker, or didn't stunt their growth like I did for 5 or 6 turns to put out 3 scouts. They will have to stunt their growth soon due to happy so I should catch up ... and having scouts now should be beneficial.
Here is my capital after I press enter. The game assigned the second resident to work the mine. I will probably swam him off to work a 2F, 1H tile to maintain max growth. I also want to look at my timing for my second worker (size 3 with the first chop?).
Finally - image sizes? Are these too wide? I've been in such a habit of making sure they are only 860 pixels wide given that most people use 1048 resolution and forums scroll if they are wider ... let me know or I will move up to a max of 1100 or so.

Your images fit fine for me, no width scrolling required.

images force a little bit of scrolling, not too bad though

No pics, not much has changed. I stayed on the 4H mine as it also gave me 1C and I needed that 1C to finish BW in 2 (3 otherwise). Guess I claw back 1 of those lost turns at the cost of growing slower.
However, the big news is that I met an injured scout from sooooo. I will send him an email saying 'Hi' (see below). I don't know if this is good or bad having sooooo so close to me. I don't even know if this is close.
Hut next turn (unless someone steals it).
Quote:Sooooo,
Greetings. I've met your injured scout in the South. This looks like a fine map that Sullla has prepared for us. Have you met anyone else yet?
Cheers,
Ruff

Quote:Ah, pleased to meet you!
A ridgey highlands map indeed. I have not met anyone else yet. Have you?
and my reply ...
Quote:No - you are the first. I see that you have had an animal encounter - bad luck on that.
I am to your East. Where are you? Any huts you can point me to? (lol)

This is going to turn into a total spam if I include all of my correspondance. Maybe someone can start a new forum for each player so that we can lay out our threads better.

reply (that is nice - building brownie points with me at the cost of not much?)

I said thanks and that it might be a good time to use my cloak of invincibility (maybe score a 'free' promotion).

Well you certainly don't have to include all messages going back and forth, but I will say that one of the most entertaining parts of lurking these games is seeing the different spin that each team puts on the same messages. Sometimes they go over as intended, sometimes they have the opposite effect entirely! Anyway, it's something you can probably check out when the game ends, whenever that might be.
