Everyone settled plains hills.

Mali is working a 1/2/0 tile. They're researching Agriculture, at the same speed we are. Worker is a turn faster than ours.

Egypt, Ottomans, & France are probably all working 3/0/1 tiles. They're researching Animal Husbandry, due a turn after Agriculture is for us. Workers are due at the same time ours is.

I could take look at the health numbers but physically scouting will be a million times more valuable than anything I could tell you from them. Some people have a couple less forests/one more flood plain than we do. >_>.

As for scouting, go for the desert hill. :P. I wanna see if there's a good site to share the wheat.

Well. Best laid plans of mice and men, etc. Here's where I actually went:

I can't really say I regret it. Holy nice city site, Batman! I'll be looping around next turn and we'll see what the border pop reveals. No decisions about the tech path, second city, etc, will change until the scout's loop is done.

A minor point is that site only has a single forest to chop and it really needs a border pop to claim fish/rice. Probably a backfill site but still foodtastic, even if the rice is unirrigated.
