Really? Dang! Welp, turn 0 and I'm already learning new things!
I completely forgot to mention the revelation of the plains cow. I believe that will be 3/3/1 pastured, which is a great tile since it's supported by a strong food surplus already.
I like SW-SW for the next warrior moves. There are hints of more water W-SW and NW-NW of the warrior, but I think the two long rivers south of us should get scouting priority. Financial loves riverside! 18-20 turns of scouting should let us get a strong enough picture of that area to find a city spot.

I'm adding a save I world-buildered to mimic our start. As far as I can tell, everything we can see is the same. The FC of the capital is definitely the same. Sometime in the next two days I'll try to work out some specific worker micro to optimize our Oracle push. Of course you're welcome to play around with it as well!

Moved the Warrior SW, revealed a grassland hill SW of that tile. We should move on that hill next turn, then probably continue SE
I'm a little dizzy after the early wake up today, so didn't get to demos yet, but will do it later today or tomorrow at the latest. One thing I noticed is that numbers don't add up, we have 10 total commerce + 2 culture + 4 espionage produced = 16 GNP points, but our GNP is 19. 3 extra points probably come from researching AH with one pre-req known - but I have very little idea how to account for these bonuses
Will play with your save later as well - sorry for the delay. Tomorrow is a bank holiday here, so I'll have plenty of time

Haha, no worries. When I post something like that it's as a courtesy - definitely not a demand that you look at it. :-)Besides, we have some time yet before any big meaningful decisions.
I saw the save get passed to us this morning, but I was out the door for church, so I'm glad you took care of it.

T2 - moved the Warrior to the hill. Borders of Ultra popped, so we can see more of its surroundings
How do we move him next? Looks like there is coast both to the north and the south. But I'm reluctant to move the Warrior too far away from the capital, so I think exploration of the coast has to wait. I think we should continue to explore counter-clockwise, so 3SE to the coastal hill, then probably one or two turns E along the coast. Any objections?

I'm kinda torn. Part of me want to push a little further west, probably NW-SW (to stay on defensible terrain). But SE-SE-SE keeps the warrior on defensible tiles and starts circling counterclockwise. I guess my primary objection is that we won't really reveal any new tiles until the 3rd move. If we did NW-SW-SW-SE-SE-E-E-E (or somethign similar), we'd defog a lot of extra tiles in the SW area. As I said, I'm kinda torn, so I'm fine with whichever path you choose.
For your approval, once the first worker that pops, I think the actions should be:
0 - NW, road tile, skip turn (to ensure he doesn't try to keep roading on the next turn)
1 - NE, Start farming wheat
5 - Farm finishes, SW, road (should finish that tile)
6 - SW, start pasturing sheep

My concern about continuing west - I don't see much production potential there! We probably want our second city - be relatively close to the capital, probably with overlap
- produce units for fogbusting/barb defence
And there's nowhere to place such a city in the west
On the other hand, I'm also tempted to look a little further west. We're approximately 20 turns from building the first Settler. If we gamble that no one is moving towards us from the eastern darkness, we can afford to move according to your plan, and still explore eastern neighbourhood before the Settler is built
Also, unless someone moves specifically from the tile 3NE of the capital onto the tile 2NE, we will have 3 turns to react if we see anyone. And we can build an emergency Warrior in 3 turns
Will think until the save comes, I'm very tempted to gamble
Worker plan is excellent, let's go with it

Some words on our capital name. Ultra was a rock radio station created in November 2000. Before, there wasn't a real Rock station on Moscow: bands like Garbage were the heaviest music they would play, Metallica was treated like a band which didn't write any songs apart from Unforgiven and Nothing Else Matters... Ultra started with Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit, Metallica's Sad But True was played in the first hour; it may sound trivial and funny for those in America or the UK, but for Russia a station with Nirvana, Metallica, RHCP and the likes as the key artists was unique at the time. Now imagine me, a 19 year old, in love with radio, and in love with rock music. I was crazy about this station, and I dreamed about working there. Fortunately, I was on friendly terms with some people who worked there, and in touch with the founder. I sent an email to him, and as it turned out, I happened to be in the right place at the right time. I joined the station in January 2001; I was there during the golden age of the station, when nu metal became very popular, and we introduced this genre to our listeners, being the first of Moscow radio stations to play bands like Linkin Park and Evanescence. I probably wouldn't listen to nu metal now, but at that time it sounded fresh, and it was fantastic to be part of a station which was always on a lookout for new interesting music, always trying to be a step ahead of our competitor, taking part in shaping up the landscape of music broadcasting
Unfortunately for Ultra, nu metal's popularity was short-lived, and the popularity of the station dropped. I was still there during its decline, we did everything possible to save it, but after 4 years the shareholders decided that the losses were too high. I was the one who pressed the red button which ended Ultra's life; I also was the one who pressed the button to restart it a year later, but that attempt never gained any momentum. Nowadays, it still broadcasts on the internet, but of course it's not the same. In any case, although I was there to help with restarting the station in 2005, I already decided that I wasn't going to work in the radio business for life. It was great fun while it lasted - but that was the end of my radio career
This is the story behind the name of our capital - hope it wasn't boring. And our starting Warrior is going to get the name of Till Lindemann, the lead vocalist of Rammstein, the band which was one of the key artist for us, hugely popular amongst the listeners
With werewolf theme dominating the organising thread, I feel this video is appropriate here

Haha, Linkin Park is an embarassing part of my childhood, but I still have nice memories of enjoying it (I was 13 okay). Good to know they had a good impact on the lives of others (then again, they were so non-specific and unthreatening that I can't imagine it disintegrating the lives of anyone, it's no Sex Pistols).

So true, and I think this applies to the whole genre of nu metal, that's one of the main reasons why it disintegrated so quickly
