Yup, on hard the budget pretty much went in 2 turns of recruiting, however being L0 troops there is no maintenance, hence we should have enough gold coming in to recruit 1 a turn if needed.

I agree with the fight on the road kill them on the swamp, just remember your shield wall will collapse so you need a sacrifical body on the swamp tile for them to charge and kill rather than letting them kill somebody on the road

just played through it on hard just for checking ...

after the first wave of ~3 Horses from NW and 1-2 from NE and SW, its 1 or 2 at a time while you're able to push forward slowly ... parking some meat shields on the external keeps to the NW should block them enough to be able to handle them together with their horribad movement in swamps

played the next 3 turns

Howler (the wolf) is playing tag with a horse up north, capping villages and fleeing back into swamps ... although it should probably egde around it doing this night so it can get down helping in center

got 2 gobbos on their way down to the southwest keeping an eye out of the horse running around there

unlucky thing is that the horses broke through on the northen keep (although i did manage to kill a horse on defense hitting it 3for3 while it didn't hit anything, followed up by another horse 1shotting it tongue) ... but given that its night now they should be able to get swamped and pulled down, Clammie taking down the weak one near Eeep, so he can get in with Misris to help with the others before falling back again behind the lvl0's

imo though, you should probably have used another turn buying the last half keep-full of spearmen Jkean ... feeling slightly to slim on the meat

From that screenshot its not clear, have you been buying 1 /turn from the north keep?

Other than that well played and hopefully now its night they can all fall under a wave of gobbos

Btw, i don't think we need to kill the archers and shining to progress. Just poke him once and he'll go off.

yep ... have been buying 1/t on the keep ... but in their turn they

lost a horse to a gobbo on the keep to the North
killed the gobbo on the road NW of Clammie
killed the gobbo in the keep to the North
killed the gobbo in the keep to the NE

after the horses within the ranks are killed, i'd say we wait for the horse to the north and the one on the way to run into the spears and then push forward slowly (splintering off a few more Gobbos if the western one going south haven't been killed yet), eying first S/N row with the NW keep so horses is forced to attack from water and then the small islet W of it

it might be an idea to knock a few archers around if it makes it possible to get a few lvl1's
