Good TV Shows?

antisocialmunky Wrote:How about the Wire, I heard it was really good. Did it finish its run or was it cancelled before the end? It is annoying when you watch a good serieis without a proper end.

The Wire is fantastic and ended properly. I had a slightly hard time getting into the second season, but other than that, I have no criticism.

I have to agree w/ Scooter.. still loving Community.. I especially liked the D&D episode (season 1??) - annie describing her male character seducing the elf-maiden had me in stitches. Parks n' Rec is very very good - very slow season 1, but since season 2 it has really taken off.

For dramas, my favorite is Justified on FX. very much a "gunfight in the ok corral" feel to it, but in modern times. great writing.

Oh, it's so nice to find this thread to make sure everyone acknowledges my opinion to go watch...

...Adventure Time. Right now. Obviously. I don't watch other cartoons. lol

(Also, I've returned to House for the last season to see how it wraps up.)

And let's not forget In the Night Garden. Anything with the capacity to spellbind your kids while you relax, basically.

It took me a very long time to take your advice, but I will chime in that I have found Parks & Recreation to be hilarious. Only through about 20 episodes but I'm grateful for this thread getting me started!
You can get a look at a t-bone by looking up the bulls ass but I'd rather take the butcher's word for it.

It actually gets much better each season. Are you starting on season 1? If so, you'll love the later seasons even better smile.

Anyone have any opinions on Veep? I like mockumentary cynical comedies, and love Julia Louis-Dreyfus. But I haven't got HBO, so I'm wondering if it's worth the effort to find the show through erm, alternative channels.

I'm a bit worried about Parks & Rec. The past season had a buildup and payoff that was so great, it's hard to see how the show can possibly continue at that peak without something of a letdown and all the usual associated criticism. We'll see.
