For this one we're not using a password - individual civs should be enough.

Oh boy.

I've just noticed all the civs are set on Noble.

I've checked the WBXML, and it seems simple enough to change it... we agreed on Diety, yes?

First up, my apologies on the v9 proposal. I'd gone from the vague idea of not many balance changes left to 'therefore it's ok', without actually checking each of our chosen civs for nerfs. Since there are still significant changes, forget I asked.

Probably not, but I know how it could be easily overlooked. As long as everyone has it that way, I'd rather play on than wait while someone fixes the WB file. It's a quick fix, but the logistics of recruiting a lurker, getting them the file, getting the file back would take a while.

In other news, "The connection attempt to the host has timed out". Did I just catch at a bad time? Given the comments from Hart, it sounds like it may not be actually hosted at the moment.

Pretty sure you can change it when you're starting the host, just have to set difficulty for each civ. At least...when you're setting up a PBEM that's how it works, there might be something different about PB.

Original post says Immortal/Deity. Which one though? (not a good idea to let players decide on settings this late)

Game is back up. But I can confirm that what nabaxo originally reported is true - there are some strange parts of the map revealed to our team - but I'm not sure it would be a rival team's starting locations...

The problem with EitB/FFH is that in the window where you specify player civs and difficulty isn't visible because the options list is so long. So all of that stuff has to be specified on world-gen.

I just went with Deity, no time to mess about.

Alright, I'm in, and I don't see anything I'm not supposed to, just what's in visibility for our team's units. Apparently the extra visibility is asymmettrical across teams.

So...how much bonus visibility are we talking here, anyway?

They're definitely not settlers on a hill, or anything like that.

Just some random squares of space. One is actually connected right to our territory.

I have a sneaking suspicion that these may have been the "original" starting locations for our civs?
