Thanks, Arathorn! You're apparently much faster at working through these reports than I am!
To new players- we're used to having a dozen or so reports, and during the reporing window we take the time to read through each report closely. Clearly, we'll need to find some other system if there's going to be 50+ reports. Arathorn is a lifesaver!

I think the system would still work. just a little slower than before
Another idea might be to form a specific summary or scoring list if items that must be included with your report. IE: shot of the final score page, Year/type of victroy/defeat, specific variant conditionals met, etc
Overall I think the only true way to view these is to read them all.

Oh, I agree. If we ask for reports, because we want to know the details of the game, it's because there's no substitute for reading a good report to find out about a game.
I just feel bad for people who post early on Monday and need a judgment call, and have to wait for us to reply (sometimes because we haven't gotten to the report, and sometimes because we have to discuss it before making a final call).
BTW, Arathorn, we're counting zeviz's game for this one.

hmmm maybe 2 subforum then. One for "score person reading" and one for "community discussion"? I dont know just a thought.
BTW (and off topic) is there a list of the previously used Varients? I know they need to be adapted to Civ4 but I just thought it would be cool to take a look.

Some of the more popular variants are now hard-coded into CIV, such as Always War, and OCC. Other than that, the list is spread through 50 pages of Civ3 Epic game pages, plus our succession games.
Browsing through the two index pages should help you to get an idea of what you might want to look at more closely.

Will modify my post accordingly. Lots of stuff to get through. Good luck on the rest of them. Do NOT trust my column for shadow information, though. Dates, win/losses, type of victory are probably 98+% accurate. Shadow or not is probably 20% accurate.
And I've not read many of them as closely as they deserve -- somewhere between skimming and reading. I'm looking for overall trends, not exact details.

And, MP, I'll change yours, too.

Silly me didn't look at the caveats, just went straight to the meat. Thanks for the correction.

Well I've finally accepted the fact that I'm not going to be able to read everybody's report in detail. I feel bad, but at least there's 52+ other people out there who can read and discuss, right?
Arathorn, do you mind if I use your list to make the results page?
I'm afraid that we will need to call Dwip's game a shadow, which is really a shame because it was beautifully played and the report is a nice read. Luckily, the fact that it's a shadow won't prevent others from enjoying the report, right?
We can probably give Kodi a resignation date of 1AD. Next time, I need an exact date from everyone, though, or .
To everyone- is there anything else that needs to be fixed/updated before we call it official?
