German's capital is actually 12 tiles away, not 13. I missed the fact, he settled on T1, most probably moved in my direction. Now I undestand why he didn't settle on T0. He was lucky to get free 1f/4h random improvement near his capital. Considering the fact he is IMP, its fucking awsome.
I misklicked once with my scout before (need a new mouse) and it costs me visibility on his capital. Obviously, I could declare war and enter his teritory. I know, here on RB, it is not considered particularily hostile act, unless you step on important tiles, but German is newcomer and I'm not sure how he would understand it. If he stepped on my deer in responce, he would mess my micro.

I started to consider going really hostile and stepping on that 1f/4h tile:
Pros:
- It would hurt him much more than blocking my deer. He doesn't have 2h plant and he sacrificed a turn to settle here. If he doesnt have another good tile around, its a loooong worker.
- We are fucking close, considering the map size. It will end in war eventually, one way or another.
Cons:
- Early duel is always a drawback, unless you can eliminate an opponent (I doubt it's doable).
- He has nasty traits for early conlict.
- I've changed my tech to agri after border pop and revealing rice/fur (my reasoning - animal is still finished on time to improve sheep and I would use pre-req bonus from agri; my first set will be build on the basis of deer/sheep, so delaying chops for a while should not be a problem). Unfortunatelly, if he sat on my deer, my worker would have nothing to do for a few turns. That's an issue.

Decided not to engage. In a duel it would be no-brainer, here the chances for ruining the game for both of us are simply to high.
Foreign news:
1. HAK got Buddism.
2. Someone (probably also HAK) had 9 crop since T6 or t7. C'mon, WTF ??? Nobody was size 2 at the moment.
Edit: Ok, just realized he started with fishing and some lake seafood is available on this map.
The screen was taken T6 or T7, currently top crop is 11.

Not much really happening. While improving deer I put 1 turn into warrior (2 food) and 3 turns into settler. It lets me finish settler on T25. Growing city on unimproved deer would result in T26 settler. Growing on a sheep results in T25 set, but less hammer overall.
Thats what I scouted north of my capital. This turn I've found gold, but still need to locate some food for the city.
German has a nice location for a strong production city west of his cap - with double sheeps and tons of hils. Its something I'm still searching for myself. With my leader traits my production will be whip-based (probably until guilds), but I still want to have some raw production.

Germanjojo finished AH and started some no-prereq tech. Porbably the wheel, but I'll be sure when he finishes. There is a possibility he got horses at his cap and will be able to get a chariot out while growing the city. I need to track his power carefully. Now he still works forest mine while improving a cow, so it is 3T warrior.

The whole known world at the moment:

I dont see horses so far (not counting the ones that are close to GJ's border), need bronze ASAP.
That's my initial dotmap:

1 - I've been pretty confident with this spot since T5 after border pop. I'm still not decided what should I do with a few spare worker turns I have after improving my capital sheep, as this city has trade connection via the river.
2 - I was considering also the place 1N of this spot, but abandoned the idea. That city placement would be vulnerable to attack on diagonal from the fog and I would have to keep a lot of units.
3 - This city has only wet rise (6F), but I consider it a major cottage helper fot the capital. It could also be used for GLH if this was an option. It's been singificantly nerfed, but I still think its worth building on this map.
4 - This one is a bit tricky. It calls for a border pop of city_1 to be planted. On the other hand gold resource has 2 adjacent jungle tiles, so I dont want to wait longer than necessary to plant it, just to reduce the risk of the jungle growth.
5 - It looks great from strategic point of view, but I'm not yet sure about this location. 2N/1E is also an option.
F - fillers I want to add at some point, even if they dont get any more resources. They are planned mainly to utilize coastal tiles. It would be a waste not to use them, once the wharf is buildable.
Obviously, some things can change as I gain more scouting info and the copper is revealed. But in fact, with this sneaky land, I cover most of the land tiles and there are not that many options to fit the cities.
This looks like a decision change to BW after 1 turn:

Looks like it has wet rice and grass hill sheep! That's pretty decent.

Indeed, but I may have no other choice as to give away the sheep to the gold city. We will see, still lots of tiles to uncover in this area. It looks like a coast in the fog, west of the gold, so maybe some seafood...

German 8 crop, still size one. Looks like a river pig... in addition to double cow, forest mine and IMP/CHA.
If he plays his hand correctly it will be a very strong start. I hope commerce will be some limitation to his expansion.

I've found an incredible spot for Maoi, but it may be hard to claim. The fish is 13 tiles away from my capital, so I guess it will be closer to my western neighbour, whoever it is. Anyway, it's worth to keep an eye on this spot.
Mongolia - worker improved a sheep, warrior set for pillage. I hope the lion wont disturb next turn, there is not much time buffer. I need to escort settler in a few turns.
