Oh wow, this is interesting, and could be pretty fortunate for me:

There's a wine resource there that already has a winery on it. Thank you, Mr. Mapmaker!

Wow, I don't think I've seen random improvements actually line up on the correct resource like that before!

Do you mean the graphic? Huh.

We're still a bit early to consider placement for my next city, but I'm already thinking that that plains hill between the three peaks could be a pretty good spot. I could grow it quickly with the rice and cows, work some hills tiles for production, and get the wine hooked up almost immediately for a happiness boost.

Borders of Thebes pop next turn. Still scouting around the north. Found some plains sheep. Nothing worth a screenshot or big writeup.

Borders have popped. Got some rice to my southwest and fish to my southeast. Nothing real interesting yet. No interesting decisions to make for a few turns yet.

Mining next turn. Going to proceed with the 'straight to bronze working' plan.

I wish I had something more interesting to add as I continue to move my scout and wait for this worker to be finished.

I still have not encountered any other civs. Also, there seems to be quite a bit of food on this map. We'll see what happens.

Also, I discovered a pasture on a tundra hill, with no resource visible. Is it possible for a pasture to be placed on a tile with no resource due to the random script? Is that what pindicator was talking about?

Or is that an indication that there are horses on that tile?

It's possible for the script to place improvements on a tile without a corresponding resource.

First contact.

Four turns to our worker, and that warrior is nine turns from my capital. I'll have to keep an eye on it and see which way it goes.

But I'm a gambling man. I'm going to go ahead as scheduled and if he beelines my capital, well, that's Civ, baby.

The warrior went south instead of west. Good.

I also found more wet corn to the south. Mackoti is going to have himself a hell of a lot of food to work with. It's closer to him than to me.

I've been super, incredibly busy, so I'm very thankful the game is still at the phase where I have no decisions to make on most turns save "where to move a scout."

My worker is out and improving the wet corn adjacent to the capital. I'm building a warrior. I am probably going to go ahead and just build 2. Haven't found anyone but mackoti yet.

I missed it, but someone already founded Buddhism a few turns back. Dang.
