Khan Builds an Empire...Logically

I should be able to make my own sandbox, but probably won't have time to play around with it until tomorrow. Those three bodies of water that we see are all salt, correct?

Up to you. I have one made if you wanted to save the time. I think they are salt, yes, as they are only 1 food by default and therefore coast, rather than lake.

Alright. I built one and started playing around with it a little bit. In general, what are you prioritizing? Fastest plan to Henge? Fastest to 2 Workers and a Settler? How much early military do you need (speaking of which, it is important to know if early Settlers need to have Barb Escorts or not)?

Certainly not fastest to Henge. 2 workers and a settler is a good starting point. My calculations thus far have us looking at 3 cities (or 2 + settler depending on terrain), 3 workers and Stonehenge by about turn 35 which is a bit slower than I would normally like but I think is sufficient. However, this is assuming no barbarians. Moreso, it is also an all-in farmer's gambits We requested a bigger than usual map so this build has ZERO military. It is not quite as dangerous as it sounds as there are chops coming in regularly which could potentially be diverted to military should the situation call for it.

Okay...so with Barbs on, how much early military do we need? In theory, as long as there aren't too many Hills/Forest/Jungle, we should be able to dance a settler around animals if we still want a farmer's gambit.

A warrior by the time we have a settler for the third city will do. Ideally, the second city would be very close to share one/some of those food tiles and there's a decent chance it is already in our culture.

Did we ever get confirmation on what size map this is for sandboxing purposes?

Prince difficulty, small world size.

Some very pretty floodplains.

It may just be because I have playing the latest RB adventure, but pink dotting sure does look appealing. There's a good chance we could make that desert hill a holy city also and it will get the monument culture also. Could help us claim quite a swathe of land. Drawbacks are obvious. What do you think?

Scout has a very small chance of dying as we ended turn in jungle next to a wolf. Should have fantastic odds due to the +100% strength and +50% defence but luck is a fickle beast.
