[Spoilers] Elkad is stuck in a car somewhere in central Wyoming

T85.
Put my Academy up last turn. First GS born, so I'm ahead there. HAK built Oracle, got a GP from that and/or a temple, and built a shrine. I thought the GE was Oracle>MC> Pyramids, but Commodore got them. That would mean Commodore teched MC, built a forge not in his capital (which I had seen by then, so I would have got a better birth message), and then burned it on Pyramids. Since he has stone, seems more likely he chopped Pyramids directly at some forest spot, and probably would have built Colossus by now too if he had MC. Which means someone has done something else with a GE (bulb machinery?)

My workboat has near-completed it's lap of the continent I think. It gets to where my scout died on the east next turn. I saw the edge of some light-colored culture S of Borsche and inland, but didn't manage to meet him (Serdoa?, Krill?, Ichabod? Darn color blindness.)

It's possible Borshe is stuck in the narrow point of an infinity sign, preventing me from accessing the other 2/3rds of a pangaea of which I'm on the western section, but seems more likely we are on 3 continents. Or something similar behind Niles, I haven't violated his culture yet either. If this is everyone (including the unknown culture discussed above), we only have 8 players on this continent, of 23.

Oh, and despite my dead scouts failing to explore inland, it appears there is an inland sea in the southern half of my continent as well. REM is stringing settlers SE along it preventing me from accessing it currently, unless I race to get ahead of him. Chopping his extended cities off for myself seems about as good a plan. He has HA, but I have 2-promo spears and swords, if I decide to go that way. Then again, why war when there is lots of land still?

I also see some land across 2 tiles of sea (crossable with a galley) to my east (S of Niles). Just one tile, but should be either another continent or what appears to be the only island in the game so far.

I just got resource routes with multiple players this turn, which means they all just finished Sailing. Considering the wonder pace so far, probably a chop battle for GLH starting. I'll stay out of that one too, plenty of settlers to build still. No islands, so no ICT routes.

Currency due next turn (T86), which puts me in the middle of the pack for my known neighbors. Currency is on the way to CoL, and city maintenance is going to be a concern very soon. Hope I can get there without resorting to building wealth, but I might need to.

Pics later, playing from work, and I've forgotten my FTP password. My home computer has it memorized.

If you post a picture of the colored border in question I'll try to figure out who it is.

My wife thinks it's Krill. I still have no idea.

There is a white and two greys on the map: Serdoa/NH, plako, and Krill. Since there's no visible pigment in your pictures it's reasonably likely to be one of them. If you toggled a bare map you may be able to see the shade more clearly. It's hard to see what the real shade is since it's fading into the black fogged tile. Also, if I just went out and told you that wouldn't be any fun, since I've seen the map. smile

I think Serdoa/NH have the native England white, and plako has the native German grey. I forget what civ Krill ended up with but his looks a lot like the Byzantine color to me, though I thought he was playing something else, maybe he got swapped? In case that helps you at all.

Yeah, Krill is China but requested Byzantium Dark Grey when the game started. I guess he's afraid of the color pink. shakehead

That's not the only one I have trouble with. I have to ask my wife every time I'm looking at graphs and trying to tell the lines for REM and taotao apart. Side by side they are different shades, but I can't look away (at the colored names) and match them.

At home flipping between color settings on the monitor, I can eliminate NH, as his is white.

Yes, I have anomalous trichromacy (Protonomaly). It's annoying if I'm trying to sort out a 25-pair phone cable, especially if it's faded or cheaply dyed (again, I have to actually sort out similar colors and put them side by side, and use a really bright light), but on the plus side, standard forest camo patterns (hunting/military) stand out against vegetation when "normal" vision types can't find the person.

Oh, I guess if you have a medical condition we should just have mercy. That border color is white. (Serdoa/NH)

Even when I'm Expansive I still NEED MORE WORKERS!
And settlers and troops for 3 borders (soon to be 4 when I add Borsche)

Sailing in. Happy cap now 10 with a market (11 capital), thanks to my wierd lakebound whales.
All this tundra and/or Ice Floodplains and no furs anywhere I can see.

Met Serdoa/NH officially.
plako just settled that bit of land I could see across the water, met him too.
We are getting close to 100 cities among the players I've met already. Damn this map is big.

My exploring workboat has turned south again (in Borsche territory), so no lap around the continent anytime soon.

I wish REM/taotau/Commodore would get in a big 3-way brawl and grind to a halt.
REM is my biggest concern, but his economy appears to suck even worse than mine.

Stacking cash again. Thinking about alphabet. Those 100 cities could all be paying me half of their new trade income.
In the meantime, if my last game is any judge, someone (Commodore) will be whipping up stacks of knights about 15t from now.

Any lurker want to point me to a previous game where someone was selling OB/traderoutes? What are they worth?
I'd think 1gpt per city (or 1gpt for each of my cities if I have less than them) wouldn't be completely insane as a monopoly. That would be half their new income per city.
Is fractional trade routes in this mod?

T100.
Still at 8 cities, but I have settlers walking for T101-Marauders, T102-Tribesmen, T104-Slavegirl. The one building in Outlaw will settle Beasts on T106. Have some filler sites behind those, and maybe some pressure on Borsche border.
Built Maoi in Assassin, I'll take the Fish tile from Commodore in 2t

And REM has declared...

On Commodore.

Commodore's power looks as pathetic as mine, though at least he has Construction. And a lot more pop than me to whip away, once he gets back out of Caste.
tautau has power matching REM, and borders him. Will he make the opportunistic move? If so, when? After REM gets his troops firmly entrenched in Commodore's land? Or early enough to take pressure off Commodore?
