Finished Crafting, started Mining. Got the +3% inflation/10culture event. Lost a warrior attacking a lizard out, killed with another for 2xp. Killed a few units on defense. Roaded a bunch, finished last farm for cap, connected corn, farmed/roaded at new settlement.
Settler still isn't finished.
Pics to come.
Edit: Oh, and Mahala still has two cities. Which is nice.

T57 was the most active one, starting out with an event:
Bleh. That's going to hurt! Now why couldn't it happen 8t from now?
Lizard moved in, so I pounced:
Lost, but let's the other clean up for a cool 2xp:
Why do it? Well, the 25% chance at 6-8xp was, IMO, easily worth it. We have enough warriors to defend city (hill/C1 warrior), guard workers/settler (two, both congregated in one location shortly for only essential duties) and still have a spare lying around. After that, we're going to (probably) push out a warrior or two out of cap immediately after the settler's finished, so we have definite overhead.
Final situation:
Settler is about to come out, need to move warriors to support next turn. Orc burnt a road, which I wasn't willing to lose more to protect, but it was a road on the silk, anyway, so wasn't particularly useful. My immediate plan was for the western worker to road the dungeon, before coming back to help build more farms at city 2; whilst eastern worker roads the hill to it's North-East, so it can quickly move to the grass (and help other worker move to the grass) 1NE of the "city" site.
We've oodles of time for mining, so there'll be plenty of time to chuck more roads down and so on, but these are still decisions to think about - the dungeon road, for example, is advantageous for a future city to the west.
...how did I write this many words over nothing happening?

Looks good to me. Well...I'd prefer if you were luckier , but attempting to get some high XP warriors sounds good to me. Especially now that we're paying unit maintenance, getting some units with better odds seems worth losing some of them.
Aurorarcher, you know we're back to you now, right?
Shortly: Basicially not much happened during my set. Settler finished and 2nd city is up and running. Lizzardmen are being a pain, no losses though.
Someone has set Gargoyles free... They can't enter our borders IIRC, though.
Took a 50-50 with unpromoted warrior...
... and earned 6 xp.
I've been building warriors after the 1st settler finished. I've sent a group of 3 warrios to take the southern lair. I think we should kill the lizzardmen (assumed loss 1 warrior) and pop it. The worst possible outcome would probably be Ogre/Azer but I'd like to take that lair out especially as I think the "City" -sign below it is a good spot for our 3rd city (can use Corn and 2 other farms in 1st ring and can mine the sheep). The other possibility is just to stand on the tile but I personally would pop it. I'll leave it up to Dave to decide.
Mahala's power is a bit worrisome. AI decides its targets often based on power ratio IIRC so getting our power up a bit wouldn't hurt. Our relations are still good but you never know when we'll get attacked.
I'm running a bit odd tiles in cap currently. Trying to get warriors out fast enough and also Mining ASAP. Currently our 2nd worker doesn't have much to do but that'll get better once we finish Mining. Also our economy is just garbage for now so improving the silks should help.

Sorry, didn't mean to nag.
Looks like solid progress. With Mining nearly in, we do have to pick between options. I kinda think we should go for Bronze if (and only if) we have copper already hookable. Maybe that's excessive paranoia, though.
Or we could just go straight for Education. I kinda think chopping the silks will give us enough boost that we don't *have* to do this first, but the sooner we can start growing cottages, the better.
