Played a hurried turn yesterday, and miscounted the movement of one of DTGs stacks. Despite a sign I had on the map warning me if his units were on that crucial tile.
He had a second stack a couple turns from my capital, so my pikes were in a central position.
I could have stuffed 15 pikes and the same in other units behind castle walls, instead his stack waltzed into my shrine over 4 units.
This is probably the beginning of the end.
I took it back, but even if I hold it this turn (marginal), I paid a heavy price to do it.
If I'd let him keep it, his stacks consolidate and I lose anyway, so might as well gamble.
