( SPOILERS ) Superdeath wins a pitboss.

(October 17th, 2019, 05:33)chumchu Wrote: I would say that a neighbor with a capital 9 tiles away is a worse problem that our crappy backlines. They are mutually reinforcing though as we can never compete with Ruff if we concede the good land to him. If we somehow manage to conquer Ruff_Hi those luxuries will be very useful but there is no good early city down there. In a rush situation any city that needs a workboat or border expansions is way too slow.

"Darkblue" would have been a decent city if we were creative. "Settle here?" looks inferior to the spot one of it west as that gets more forests to chop into military and denies "Obvious 2nd city spot" to Ruff_Hi.

"somehow" manage to conquer him? Boudicca of Keshiks will find a way. Tech path looks like BW-Archery ( to prebuild gers? ) AH- HBR. Or can swap AH and Archery around. Settle on copper, connect cities, whip/chop a half dozen axes and go say hi to Ruff? Hell... with this shitty of land i might make a sim and see how to best make a massive army out of this shithole.

"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. Had some extra time to work out what our capital could contribute by itself in total-war. ( not using ALL of its tiles obviously.. ) Without additional happy we sit at size 7 with 21 HPT. Just shy of 2t Keshiks.. although if we settle ( and chop out a barracks/monument ) we could get those two additional happy from the backlines pit of despair. 4t till we find copper. Im thinking if its not in a real bad place, probably best to settle next to it for the tile yield given our shitty land quality.

Need some help.

Do we settle on or by copper.

Im going to send the scout that way to check out whats up there after it goes and visits the tundra deer. If no extra food... settle next to it, and mass chop out some axes? Thoughts on tech path? Archery-AH- straight to HBR? or grab pottery/writing first.

Unless there is another resource I would settle 1 S of copper to share the sheep, preserve the production and maybe work the spice. If you do that it is imperative to scout out Ruff_Hi:s move.

an 8 tile long mountain/lake range to block off access to someone?

Going to move my scout and see if there is any point in planting east of the deer.

There is a fish E-NE from the plains next to that deer. Still not great options for cities. I guess that city would be setup to make 1pop whips? If we put a city NW of the wines tile, maybe that can be our cottage city? MAYBE we get lucky and Ruff builds Stonehenge for us? :D
