Thanks for sharing, nicely done. It's odd seeing a character who does nothing but attack - he didn't apply a single buff or debuff. Just bombs away with every turn. Guess I spent too much time playing white mages and hardcore characters.
I had gathered that the big trick of the Cannoneer was the 75% accurate status ailments, even against bosses that should be very highly resistant. Sounds like you made good use of that. There's the one part of Neo Exdeath that is vulnerable to Aging, which the Cannoneer can do... could have been even a bit easier.
Mirage Vest was needed for Exdeath? It doesn't do much if you don't exploit its bug, just one dodge. Cannoneer can wear Bone Mail for the wonderful White Hole immunity... is there any way he can heal with it on?
I haven't tried Mime at all, don't know if Sullla has. But I'd say to go for it if you want.

Unfortunatly, Cannoneer has no way of self-healing without items. And maybe not Mirage Vest required, but Bone mail was right out since the lack of healing could have cost me the fight more times than I'd have liked.
And I completely forgot about the Old bit -.-. I cna imagine that would have saved me a lot of trouble. Though TBH, the only two parts that really required luck was Grand Cross(as always) and that last part at the end where he dual turned Almagest and Attack. Once I got the pattern down he's not that hard(it took 65 resets to find that pattern, but whatever <_<)
And my original Exdeath plan involved throwing a single debuff out(Slow on the Tree form), but that didn't seem to help nearly as much and took exactly as many turns as spamming Killer Cannon(and kept getting me Meteor'd).
Well then, I'll go take a crack at Mime then. At least has a fun way of running bosses out of MP(use Elixir, use Mimic until they're out).

Mime take take a little longer. Think doing a back-to-back Blue Mage SCC-Cannoneer SCC burned me out of FFv faster than I hoped. Mime's defeated Garula, might take a break and go redo a FFVII challenge I've never quite been able to finish:LLNIIENACMO(full description in spoiler)
Last run I got stuck at Hojo, since the 3rd phase requires use of the Slots limit break, which I can't use to save my life.

Well I played ff5. ![lol lol](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/lol.gif) It is pretty easy if you know how to handle the ill-explained job system. In a new game they would have given you a tutorial on how to use it and players would not find much problems with this game. Pretty much the only bosses I got into trouble with are the sol cannon, which I had to get an angel ring, and that boss you fight without Lenna. I put too much important stuff on Lenna. FF5 is only hard because there is no tutorial (I effectively got one by reading about the game).
Of course you can cripple yourself by using only one party member. However, you can do that in the newer ff's too! It's actually impossible to beat the Superboss (Penance) of FFX using one party member unless you use Zanmato. Using one party member is clearly unintended in FF5 due to the Atmos boss.
I played the PSX version and there is an awesomely bad CGI intro and ending. The characters look nothing like in the game. No wonder so many people ignored the outside media when playing these games...
The superbosses in this game are quite disappointing. I found out the dragon boss is weak to berserk (by trying everything) and I already knew that Omega is weak to lighting. Omega only has 60,000 hp so it did not take long to get lucky. Of course I had to eat some deaths but you are supposed to die!!! There is a reason why you are given a checkpoint right before the boss...
The other thing is that I put up the battle speed to max to get though some random encounters but I noticed my characters were not moving any faster. Then I did some research and found that the battle speed only effects how fast the enemies move. ![lol lol](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/lol.gif) Stupid game...
After doing some research I found that the only true ff games are ff1-ff8 and ffx. Square fired the maker of FF and his senior staff after âThe Spirits Withinâ bombed horribly after ff11. FF11 was a mmog and ff9 was made by a different team then every other game and was not supposed to be an FF game at first. This is why ffx gets talked about so much. FF1-7 are said to be really good. FF8 had impossibly high expectations to live up to. The only other FF games are not really FF games so are really not cared about that much by hardcore fans. The only game that cannot be put into a nice little box is ffx.
The big problem with FF and RPG in general is that it cannot have it both ways. If they make the games hard, which they don't, then you end up dying a lot. If you end up dying a lot the end is really silly. The bad guy won a billion times more than you! You can not take the story seriously if you die a lot. If they make the game easy then you just cruise though and you should have just have watched a movie instead. This point is made much better by Jonathan Blow (Braid!) in lecture section called âChallenge vs. Progressionâ.
Anyway that is all I wanted to say about how I feel about FF5!

Sigh...got distracted doing that FFVII thing I said earlier, then went to get back into Mime solo and just...eh. I couldn't bring myself to get into it. Then started replaying SMT:Nocturne and Persona 4 and never got around to getting abck into it.
Considering trying something else. Preferably not another Solo. Looked at the # Zerks+Nanny one and figured "Huh, that might be interesting if you replace the Berserkers with Mimes", though it sounds a little easier when you consider that the Nanny(more a Maestro in this case) would have to be attacking the enemies in order to get the Mimes to, and healing is simple by simple having the Maestro chug an Elixir, and the Mimes following suit.

Gah...now that I reminded myself of it, it's going to keep bugging me until I finish it. Since I hate to leave things unfinished....*glances at stack of unfinished games t my right*....some things unfinished, might as well hop to it.
So, Mime Solo progress
Up to Liquid Flame. Current Level 17, have full Mythril, Elf Cape(how in the world did I get this?), and the Moonring Blade(Never knew Mimes could equip this...). Due to MR Blade, sitting in the back row for this fight whenever possible. First things first, shifting it to the Tornado Form to let it run it's MP out.
First run went poorly when I forgot to heal before swapping it out of the Hand phase.
Second run it went Hand again, so I made sure to Potion Mime myself to full before attacking again. He couldn't hurt me much from my armor. Then I went ahead and ran it's MP out. Unfortunately, Liquid Flame is faster than me and his human form eventually Blazed me to death while I tried to heal away. I should have changed it's phase before trying to heal.
Third run went perfectly. Tornado form ran out his MP, the Hand eventually ran out of MP so the only form that had any chance of killing me was the human one. The other two I used to Mimic Potions onto myself until I was healed. Managed to snag the Flame Rod too.
Probably only going to go for the Main Gauche during the castle escape. I don't need more than one Elf Cape.

Ifrit went pretty well. He wrecked me at level 17, so I had to level up to 20 to get more HP. Then I just Mimicked Elixirs until he ran out of MP, then alternated Moonring Blade for damage, then swapped to the Healing Staff whenever I needed health. Now Byblos....sigh.

There may be an easier way, for both LiquidFlame and Byblos.

I was trying to save that for last since it's a bit cheesy, but running Byblos out of MP is going to get me hit by a lot of Webs and Discords, I'm probably just going to go ahead and do that.

So I was reading back up the thread, including this link for some mocking of FF1. http://uncyclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Final_Fantasy_I
It's still there several years later, but the mind-blowing part is that the page now includes an image from one of Sullla's own reports, Live off the Land. Mind-blowing, or else someone from here has been up to some shenanigans on Uncyclopedia...
