[SPOILERS] 3 Players, 1 Civ, No Clues - Tatan, Nakor, and Serdoa are Darius of Rome

It's pretty easy to get back into things, Tatan. Not that we have that big an empire...

Regarding the failed city plant, we could indeed move SW:

Working the pigs and mines should give decent production. So let's send the settler there.
If we move there, we can't build a city to work the rice near the capital.
We can and should (I feel) build a city here:

Sending another worker back to the mainland to improve the new city.
Nero can start another settler next turn. Ceasar could build a worker/settler now as well and Augustus can start one after the axe for mp.
Maybe one of our colony cities can start building a settler/axe pair for a new island city.

Regarding research, I think we should try to get Calender (7t) before Feudalism (14t) to get spice and dye online and raise our happy cap.

Speaking of our happy cap, when do we revolt to HR?

Only a few people left who hadn't played so I went ahead and grabbed ours.

-Set research at 0%, put overflow into Feudalism (which IMO is more important than Calendar)
-Retreated settler stack to where Nakor's junk city spot is marked; IDK what the exact placement should be (I haven't looked hard enough) but we should definitely plant a city somewhere in that region.
-Moved the nearby worker into position for road-building.
-Nero was already queued to build a settler, all I did was change a grass mine to the wet rice.

FYI I'm going to be bereft of internet for the next couple of days, so don't expect any of my trademark clueless, vague posts. :hippie:

Thanks, Tatan! We haven't revolted to HR yet?

I think the settler from Nero should settle the southern crap city on the main landmass. Our big island city can start a settler after Granary - Axe and growth to size 4. We can 2-pop whip that settler.

Sending another worker back to the main land.

Still forgot to revolt to HR. Serdoa, are you up to it?

Revolted us to HR. Maybe we should let Nero grow on a Spear for our new city before whipping the Settler.

Hey Nakor, I got your message but was pretty upset about other stuff and quite honestly couldn't get myself to think about Civ. Sorry.

As for the city, I'd probably would have founded it 1NE (where the party was before). Could have shared the pigs as well, basically same amount of hills but rice-city would still have been possible. Not a great loss though probably.

Revolt to HR was the right call. Only delay stuff like that if there is another civic incoming soon afterwards or a GA. If thats not the case, then do it asap. Otherwise, if we delay the revolt by several turns, we could as well have finished Maths and Calendar first. Wonder-production of course would have been another reason to delay the revolt.

I think we now should first grow the cities, especially the capital - and we should try to build some warriors in the junk city before we connect it by road. The 1 commerce more we will get won't really make a difference anyway. Would be good if we could start the road though for a turn, so that we can quickly finish it.

Apart from that, I think Feudalism next probably - or Calendar. Depending if we feel save or not. I personally think we probably can get Calendar first. Skirms don't make great attackers and everything else is kept at bay with the troops we have. At least if no one has Construction and Ivory. And at least Ivory should be somewhere in this jungle for sure - have we seen any? Or are WE banned anyway?

I've been led to believe WE are banned for all but Meiz.

Thanks, Waterbat!

No problem, Serdoa. Hope everything is ok.

Easy turn this time. Decided to build a Spear in Nero before a Settler so the city can grow a bit.

And another slow turn. Nothing interesting happening right now.
Just building units and getting more cities, better tech...

And another not so interesting turn...
Maybe one of you guys can take a look in game and give some thoughts.
