[spoilers] The what goes where?

Thanks MH.

Looks like we are losing the first crab at Marblehead. That tile now sits at 54% Krill. And their city just got Taoism.
Option 1: Put more culture into Marblehead.
Option 2: Do something else.

We did lose the seafood near Marblehead when the turn rolled. Not much we can do about that in the short term. I played this turn (T106) but I can't play T107. I might be able to play T108 depending on when the turn rolls. Feel free to play it too.

Instructions? Not much - the situation in the south east is pretty clear ... city to be founded T107 (needs name), there are various defensive units that need moving and there are workers that are generally heading in that direction. They are doing stuff on the way which slows them down. You might want to just get them there.

I have 3 WBs in the water ...
- north is exploring - you may have to declare for right of passage ... if so - stay off any seafood
- other two are heading south to net fish, crabs, whale(happiness please)

We will have enough $s to finish Iron Working but I don't see that tech adding much value. I would prefer to save it for Metal Casting.

Thx mh. Temple of Solomon is pretty big. Judaism has already spread to 3 or 4 players (IIRC).

Turn 109 - 150 BC and maybe a few screenshots from earlier turns

First off - updated culture war with Krill
T100 - 14% Krill
T101 - 16%
T102 - 20%
T104 - 42%
T105 - 53%
T106 - 59%
T109 - 69%

Guess I am not getting those crabs back for a while. Maybe I should ask 15g for the price of the FB?

Here is what I have found to the west ...

Just west of Krill Island ...

Further west ...

Further west again (I have a galley at the north red dot and a woodie II scout at the south red dot) ...

Here is what I have found to the north

You can just see Noble in the bottom right, Q in the bottom ...

Here is an interesting scoreboard ... I prefer to know people at the top of the leader board - more chance to get tech bonuses from them ...

Here is what I am doing with my workers ...

(July 22nd, 2014, 14:27)GermanJojo Wrote: General question regarding the Known Tech Bonus in this game:

Quote:Known Tech Bonus changed to per player bonus. The known civ bonus is multiplied so that it is based on the era that the most advanced player is in with following equation:

Ancient: No bonus
Classical: +2% per met player with tech, max +50% (no further bonus after 25 players)
Medieval: +4% per met player with tech, max +50% (no further bonus after 13 players, 13th is only +2%)
Rennaissance: +6% per met player with tech, max +50% (no further bonus after 9 players, 9th is only +2%)
Industrial: +8% per met player with tech, max +75% (no further bonus after 10 players, 10th is only +3%)
Modern: +8% per met player with tech, max +75% (no further bonus after 10 players, 10th is only +3%)
Future: +8% per met player with tech, max +75% (no further bonus after 10 players, 10th is only +3%)

Regarding the part that says "The known civ bonus is multiplied so that it is based on the era that the most advanced player is in" - does this mean "the era that the most advanced player is in" that you know or the era the most advanced player is in out of all players? As in, are you punished for being more advanced than your neighbors?

Let's see if I can work out how many people know Metal Casting ...

The red line is 159 px long and represents 184 beakers.
The blue line is 319 px long
The yellow line is 448 px long and represents 517 beakers.

So ... that is approximately 1.157 beakers per pixel. So ... the 143 + 1 beakers that I will generate this turn will add approximately 185 beakers. That is an uplift of 28.4%. That seems like 2 people.

Assuming 2 people know it ... (143 + 1) * (1 + 20% + 2 x 4%) = 184.3

I'll check back on this next turn.

All that Metal Casting beaker gazing and then I forget to check. Anyway, MC finished last turn. Started a few forges (half price) this turn. I also have a sentry chariot looking at Krill's island. I was able to spot a worker with the name 'Ten Ruff'. Hmmmm.

The land between me, Q and Cale is getting more and more interesting. Lots of worker actions going on but any exposed worker is heavily covered by units. Something is going to happen.

Turn 112 - 75 BC

I got this message from Novice ...

Quote:Good evening!

We've spoken to Commodore to confirm when we are supposed to play pb18, he said that we are supposed to move first in this instance, i.e. on t112, if you plan to declare war. At the time that you logged in and played your t111 we had already moved all units in the theatre between us.

Obviously, we do not know if you will declare war or not, so we are just going to play the turn, end it, and log out, then you can make your moves. We do not intend to log in until T113 after we end turn. We hope that is acceptable to you? We will try to play the turn as quickly as possible, RL permitting.

Cheers,
novice and Krill

We are at war again? This was a confusing message to me. But I was able to reason it out. They have a few workers on the Krill island (I mentioned this above) and I was thinking of snapping one up (or reclaiming the settler / worker they took). I have some galleys in the water and I moved some units on board. I also moved some units from the capital to Marblehead to support this push.

Well - I think they suss'd it out and were reminding me not to double move them.

I sent back this reply ...

Quote:Err - are we at war? Last I checked (this morning about 5am my time), I didn't think that we were.

Wait - re-reading your email ... and knowing that T111 rolled at midnight my time (about 17 hrs ago) and you talking about T112 / T113 ... it sounds like our teams should be observing a turn order in case either one of us wanted to DOW ... is that were you are heading?

Ruff

A little confusion never hurt anyone. Got back this reply ...

Quote:Hi, we are not at war. Turn 110 rolled over to T111 at midnight your time, and we've both played T111. T111 hasn't rolled over to turn 112 yet. What we're proposing is that we observe a turn order for T112 where we play before you.

novice

... that I acknowledged.

Quote:got it. Thx for the clarification.

Ruff

The upshot ... they moved their workers away. I expect that I won't see them again until they are adequately covered. Impact - small.

I will keep rotating units around in the galleys and keep them on their toes.

BTW - Marble head is in the phase of growth, put <5 hammers into an axe or spear, double whip, repeat. It has two food sources and copper so it can do this for ever with 4 units being generated every 2 turns (I haven't simmed it out - will have to see if it actually turns out that way).

?Here is a city location that I marked. Apparently Q / Parkin agrees ...

Events are on ... but no quests for me yet. I did get +8food for caribou harvest.

My happiness pressure is easing somewhat ...
- silver online
- whale online within a few turns
- fur to follow

We lost a settler/worker? that slipped my attention.

I can most likely cover August 7-10.

Yes we did. In the short war with Krill. I had a settler on that island and they attacked and killed the axe cover.

Bastard. Guess I should have had a spear there ... as I could see what units were on the tile next to my landed settler (nothing). I need to consider the fog more.

At least I know have a long term goal ... succeed in being a pain to Krill / Novice.
