I use english version, since there's no portuguese one.
There was a random suggestion in one of the sites I looked about changing the capitalization of the Civ 5 folder, from "sid meiers..." to "Sid Meier...", with capitals. I think it had something to do with a non-english installation...

Can you go to Event Viewer, and paste information about one of the crashes here? Let's see if we can extract something useful out of it....
In Windows 7, Event Viewer is in Control Panel under Administrative Tools. In Windows 10, it's just in the Start menu under Windows Administrative Tools. Once you open it, go to Windows -> Applications on the left. You should have multiple errors from all those Civ5 crashes. Click one and then copy the text which appears below. It will look like this
Code: Faulting application name: CivilizationV_DX11.exe, version: 1.0.3.279, time stamp: 0x546cd0a8
Faulting module name: unknown, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x00000000
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x12391267
Faulting process id: 0x1858
Faulting application start time: 0x01d1f7fe2d29bf03
Faulting application path: F:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization V\CivilizationV_DX11.exe
Faulting module path: unknown
Report Id: 272fc28f-01ff-411b-9d66-60556410e897
Faulting package full name:
Faulting package-relative application ID:
No promises there will be anything useful, but worth trying...

I know how frustrating it has to be for Adrien to find a solution at this point, and I don't expect you to try any more. PC's are fickle sometimes, I'm just sorry this is happening to you, I was looking forward to playing with you
I think at this point, the best path forward is to try and find a sub. I feel like due diligence has been done on trying to get Adrien's save working. If Adrien is amicable to it, and has no more fixes he wants to try, we find a sub.
I'm fine with a spoiled sub. I would additionally be fine going back and replaying Turn 0, and allowing the sub to pick between Adrien's 3 civs if they want to choose a different one. We'd have to restart the game anyway with the new steam user.
I suggest we try to reach a decision on a path forward as soon as possible, as find a sub may take some time.

It's in French but it's the same format as the one you produced.
Ichabod I checked and the files are named properly (with the right capitals and everything)

Alas. It's the same exception, 0xc0000005, recommendation for which is pretty much "reinstall everything"
Quote:Try uninstalling and reinstalling Steam as well as the game.
Try uninstalling and reinstalling DirectX.
Try uninstalling and reinstalling your graphics drivers.
Make sure to restart after uninstalling each one, and restart again after reinstalling.
Edit: I recommend trying them in this order, which is roughly ascending order of difficulty. Unfortunately, if none of these work, the standard next step is "try reinstalling the operating system.")
So yeah... do you want to go down this route?

Google says that they should still work if you back up the steamapps folder
Quote:Move the subfolder /steamapps/ in a safe place before uninstalling Steam, then do the following steps:
Uninstall Steam.
Reinstall Steam.
Launch Steam.
Exit Steam.
Move the content of your /steamapps/ backup to the new /steamapps/ subfolder.
Relaunch Steam.

I don't think I'm going to do that. There's a small risk that I mess things up and lose a LOT of things I don't want to lose, and it may not be enough to solve the problem. Sooooo... Does someone want to take my spot ? I can stay as a dedlurker.
