After that commotion I just wanted to give a heads up. This week is my last round of evening classes from Monday to Wednesday, hence I will play my turn around 9+pm here. That's 1pm GMT

I'm going to be out of town this coming weekend afternoon of the 19th until afternoon of the 21st. I may be able to play the turns via Team Viewer but no promises.

I know that feeling, happened to me in the summer as well.

The other time I had to change graphics settings over teamviewer blindly because I forgot to change them, the joy.

       I don't mind both sub or hiatus.

       However I want warn everyone, also for people at other PBEM's. At 8/2 expansion comes out and everyone should be prepared mentally for potential screw ups due new rules for example loyalty system that is going be introduced. Steam do install patches automatically and I can't stop it. Or new potential bug screw ups for example too close with other civilizations when I attempt to start new single player game which was introduced with one of recent patch (summer or fall, I don't remember).

   A good point, until now DLC features seem to have been locked behind a paywall and did not annoy anyone.
   This could become peculiar quickly.

It is possible to play with an older version of the game - or at least, I know that's the case with Paradox games. There's an option in Steam, I believe.

I thought the new system is part of the first expansion not vanilla Civ6?

I think all the new systems are part of the expansion but they are going to make some changes to vanilla, like move trade routes availability and city state bonuses to the first building in relevant districts. Let's hope they have it so changes won't impact current games, like in the summer patch.
