Please don't spoil Fnatic-Dignitas, I'll watch it this evening Sir Bruce Wrote:The IEM times are terrible for us Americans. And why are most of the games scheduled in the middle of the week instead of the weekend? I think the reason is that the tournament is being held during CeBIT v8mark Wrote:Please don't spoil Fnatic-Dignitas, I'll watch it this evening Ok, so there is Twitch, Shaco and Evelynn in the new triple top invisibility lane meta...oh no, now I told you
The CLG-Dignitas game is also well worth a watch. CLG is trying hard to innovate on the current meta. I can't decide if they're having success because of or despite this effort.
I watched the CLG-Dignitas game last night. I really can't understand what CLG were thinking. I can see the logic behind Blitz-Alistar vs average players. Hook into pulverize into headbutt into tower into death. In a straight-up melee fight, they're definitely stronger than a typical AD carry-support. But in a professional tournament? The AD-support lane has so many ways to kite and disengage -- particularly Corki and Janna (Valkyrie, Howling Gale, Monsoon, Flash...). Good players, and good teams, will have little problem coordinating these things to the extent that they'll almost never die in lane, or even be denied any farm.
And going all tanky DPS is again one of those strategies that works against poor players who don't know how to counter it. However, Dignitas just treaded water for 25 minutes and waited until Corki and Morde could destroy everyone in teamfights (the Morde pick was a particularly effective counterpick to tanky DPS as well). Another question: why would you build your AD carry tanky when the rest of your team does no damage? Urgot to be kidding...
Janna was also Dignitas's first pick IIRC. Janna pretty much countered the entire CLG lineup that game.
Nice games today, I won't spoil anything but especially the second CLG-Moscow5 game was quite entertaining.
And Voyboy on Lee Sin top is beast, I guess learning Lee Sin is worth it atm... Gustaran Wrote:IEM Hannover started today. In case you missed it I strongly suggest watching Fnatic vs. Dignitas, really amazing game Is there a way to pick out a specific game to watch? So far I've only found streams by day of the tournament.

Sure on the main page, click on the date under event schedule, then click on the match you'd like to see underneath. Just a couple notes though. 1. Not all matches were streamed, not sure if they were recorded elsewhere though, maybe someone else can help with that. 2. Quite a few of them have several minutes of pre-game interviews/rambling before the picks/bans even start.
