From CivFr:
Quote:Dear Egyptians,
Unfortunately, we haven't any interest to share the map with your nation as our knowledge of the world is enough for us.
Best regards,

Or are they planning to turtle the rest of the game?

I agree CivPlayers is looking more and more like an ally... CFC less so. Lets cultivate *both* while we take out the Germans and WPC. By the time those are done we'll know who our friends are (if any).
...did we get Spanish maps in game??

Yes, and it was far better than WPC's. 5 Univers cities and a wide swath of land that CivFr claimed later on.

From Apolyton:
Quote:Greetings,
We would like to discuss a few things.
First, our NAP is closing to it's end. Since we see many of your units visiting our land novadays We would like to discuss the first extension of this treaty from t150 to t170.
Second, Your warchariot has surely noticed that there is a rebel village in the northern tundra. Our forces are in position to take it by force if necessary, but we still hope peacefull negotiations will result in this splinter colony joining back to our empire(( or we just wait until it grows to pop2.. )). We would like to ask you to not interfere there in any way. In fact we would like you to avoid moving toward that city any closer. We would like to get your word for it that you will not attack there. Otherwise we will be foced to take it ourselves, acting sooner as we intended and it will have bad impacts on our diplomatic relations. We hope it will not come to that.
regards,
MZ

They sound a little panicked that we have malicious desires to screw with them.
I think we should say, we are happy to be friends in addition to having a NAP. Is there something else we can do to build up our friendship, other than your request to stay away from that city, which we are happy to do for you?

Seems like they want something from us, and it won't cost us much, if anything.
We can probably use our scout to get visibility on the former barb city later on, so no great deal in turning the WC southwards. It'd be nice if we could swing a somewhat longer NAP too, to T175 or T180, but no big deal.
Here is a picture of the situation:

This is perfect. We want a longer NAP with their team anyway, so that Apolyton is locked out of the upcoming German war. Promise them that we won't interfere with that barb city and sign a longish NAP, and we'll have cleared the last diplomatic obstacle to running over the Germans.
