Caster of Magic Release thread : latest version 6.06!

Bug? 2 Triremes join. One has 1 move left, the other has 3. But group move is displayed as 3. Move them together. It changes to 2 and 0 moves. Unload the spearmen. Then Trireme with 2 movement can’t move even empty. Save attached.

How does Fireball work? After each figure takes damage they merge automatically into fewer figures as displayed? Or they stay separate figures and the display is wrong? Second Fireball on same unit works against the fewer figures or against the more but not displayed low HP figures?

If wand has Exorcist as exorcise spell (not charges) and another misc item has -1 Spell Save then does that -1 apply to the wand’s Exorcise? How about if they were charges?

Ghouls can be targeted with healing spell. Surprising. Intended feature?

Ritual Master gives 6 power per level. Aether Master produces 8 SP. Are these the same thing? And what does the “less resistant to the controlling wizard’s spellcasting attempts” exactly mean?

It took 5 years and 4 months for an outpost to grow into hamlet. Its stats were Max pop 6, Prod bonus 66%. It was on Forest tile. Nothing wrong, just cool.

AI life drain killed my Trireme. Then I successfully casted Confusion on the AI Trireme that carried 8 land units. AI raised my Trireme as Undead and the 8 AI land units switched boat automatically at end of battle. Nothing wrong, just cool.

Probably a bug in the chain transportation system. I'll add it to my list to investigate.

Damage is calculated as if the unit had separate figures. Then "total damage on unit" variable is increased by this amount. Number of remaining figures is recalculated from the damage and total unit health.
Second fireball hits the remaining fewer figures.

There can only be one "damaged" figure in a unit at a give time, all other damage results in dead figures.

Power is Power, while SP is SP - power already spent on increasing Skill, they are not the same thing. https://masterofmagic.fandom.com/wiki/Power
The quoted part is flavor text. It means absolutely nothing for gameplay.

No. Spell Save never applies to touch (or other) abilities. If it isn't cast by pressing the Spell button, it's not a spell affected by Spell Save.

I think I found a bug - I was at war with a couple of wizards, had Zombie Mastery and Evil Omens active, and then an enemy wizard cast disjunction on Evil Omens and dispelled it. I then tried to declare peace with one of them and they told me they would if I canceled my Evil Omens spell.

Not a bug, it's just the AI being too dumb. When the AI warns a player about something, it stores that information for a later use, and when next time they refuse an offer, they might randomly mention that specific thing, regardless of whether it makes any sense or not. It's just flavor text, it doesn't have any effect on the gameplay or your chances of the offer being accepted.
It's hard to come up with a text that always makes sense regardless of what happens between the time it was stored and when actually used but if you have suggestions, I can change it in the next update.

What is the order of execution of Doom Bat’s Immolation and Doom? How does it damage say Spellserkers that has 4 figures, 4 HP, and 4 armor? 

I attacked solo AI huntress. It only moved back and did not shoot.

I recommend to switch the wait and auto buttons in battle. I accidentally clicked auto many times. 

Desert tile used up 2 moves for Ghouls and Dwarf. But other desert tile used up 1. Why?

Life Drain does not create Undead from Noncorporeal unit. Correct?
Even if unit received Wraith Form spell in battle?

Ruins was reported to be guarded by Demon Lord. I attacked with 1 unit the did not have illusion immunity. Died immediately. Then it was reported to be guarded by Demon Lord and many Night Stalkers. Intended feature? They did not see even a single Stalker.

Does Resist Magic work vs Death Gaze?

Unfixable. Spell name is too long, overwrites the "end string" character.

It's simultaneous, like all other touch attacks.

Maybe it was trying to use Web Spell and failed? Maybe your army had missile immunity? I need more information for this.

Too late for that. I tried it in CoM II and moving buttons causes clicking the wrong one because we already got used to their location.

It should be 1. I don't think it's possible to convert a tile to a Desert so it can't be the change terrain problem. Probably a bug? I don't think I've ever seen that happen before.

Yes, if you go inside, it assumes you have seen the units.

Noticed some weird and I assume unintended behaviour with alliances. I tried to talk to both my allies, and they would just reply that they liked that I attacked our enemy and that they reward me with gold. No matter how many times I talk to them I cannot get to the diplomacy menu. After hitting Next Turn they say it to me again and after that it works again.
Expected behaviour is that I should be able to talk to my allies whenever I want.
