20 cities? Mech Infantry?

Yawn. See what good they do you when my spaceship arrives next turn.

The same turn my third city goes legendary.

To paraphrase Frankie Boyle "your best hope is that the enemy kill so many of you, that they become manically depressed" wink

That is actually possible, given war weariness mechanicsrolleye

Yeah, not sure what the issue was, but I got the latest save file this time.

If anyone else sent me an email yesterday you may want to resend it.

Which leads me to something we all should probably discuss- how exactly do our contact rules work? The rules post / first post of this thread simply states that:

Quote:-Contact with X is allowed once you have either met X, or met (in-game) another civ that has met X

My reading of the rule is therefore that if I know player A who knows player B, as long as I'm sure that player A knows B, I can go right ahead and contact B myself. But as another player pointed out to me, that interpretation doesn't really make any sense from a role-playing perspective. Instead player A should have to provide verbal permission before I can call up B, because his civ is "passing on" our correspondence as an intermediary.

So what's the correct answer?

This is the correct answer - I remember us discussing this when we were going through rules/settings for this game. I just did an atrocious job of wording it when I edited in the rules rolleye... I'll fix it now. Any other questions on this topic? I get the feeling everyone is a little fuzzy on this rule since we've never used it before.

EDIT:

I updated the first post to say this:

Quote:-Contact with X is allowed once you have either met X, or met (in-game) another civ Y that has met X. Y must give permission for you to actually contact X, but Y is not obligated to grant you permission.
