It occurs to me that I've become one of those people who never updates his turn. Oddly enough, knowing the outcome of the game has turned this into a relaxed and relatively enjoyable play. I don't spend much time playing the turns - 10 minutes tops, really. My micro is barely adequate, etc, etc. But I am enjoying the game now.

Not really sure what to show you crazy kids to make it worth a report. Mackoti recently knocked out Kremlin. I'm en route to Democracy for SoL. I still can't build anything better than maces. Mackoti is pretty clearly gearing up to slaughter TT, who for his part is giving it the old college try to build enough military...

Commodore and I, I think, have just come to a realization that we'll sandbox as long as we can before Mackoti either kills us all or launches a spaceship. His GLH-fueled economy has gone uncontested, open borders with all parties, we're all throwing luxes around like candy, etc. If I cared, I could go through the trade screen and test but I believe I'm a little ahead of him on total beakers still. He outresearches me when I'm in Slavery/OR, I outresearch him when I'm in Caste/Pacifism. I'm currently in a slavery cycle, so the demos are less than impressive. But this will probably be my last slavery cycle until Factories at least. I'm running a hybrid economy - certainly more specialists than I've run in any game recently around here and pretty heavily pushing it when I'm in caste, but still cottages all over the place. That's because I've only had rep for 10-15 turns, so I needed something to fuel the economy before that. Anyway, I'll probably swap back and forth between USuff/FS/Eman./FM/OR and Rep/Bur/CS/Merc/Pac on my cycles now. They tend to run 6 turns rather than 5 just due to the nature of GP generation and whipping cycles, but with Oxford due in 2T there's not a lot of mission critical stuff to whip, I'd rather grow the cottages in my more far-flung locations faster.

Eh, it's partly the fault of us ded-lurkers. If we'd asked for more info, you'd probably give it.

Or if we'd given better advice in the beginning, like 'build a couple spears', then maybe we'd be currently in the middle of the great mackoti dogpile war . And then I bet you'd still be interested.

I just want to say I just popped GPs 3 straight turns. And the last 2 were artists at 8% and 12% respectively. I hate this game. :P
