[Spoilers] What, no fireballs?! Team FFH: we're not in Erebus anymore

Thanks, guys. I was going to keep posting the thesis, but I don't think I'm ready for the reactions that can happen after people misunderstands me.

Anyway, here's some game related discussion:

We have two settlers right now, in the tiles highlighted above:

I was going to settle the previously proposed sites. That'd be a fine thing to do, but we'd probably lose the sugar plant to Sunrise, which I don't want to happen.

What to do?

I have two skirms that can defend these cities. That's not enough. I can produce some quickly in the capital, though, but it's still not optimal (especially because the annoying barbs are walking around.

Our options are:

1. Send these settlers to found the 2 south jungle cities, including the sugar spot.

2. Settle the planned cities and produce (maybe whip a settler in the capital) to try and get the sugar spot.

3. Give up on the sugar spot and plant the southern jungle city 1S to get sugar anyway.

So...?

A proper update:

Yeah, this thread is not only about comedy. It's also about a certain game. Let's see...

The glorious Mali empire, the sinners, just finished researching Iron Working. We are planning an attack against the stronghold of Luxor and the Tirant Sunrise089. Swordsmen are really powerful!

No, that's obviously not true. IW was needed to feed our cities, from all things. That's because we need bananas.

Do we have iron?? Yes, most certainly!

Sometimes, it's better...

...to be lucky, than...

...good!

So, we have 3 sources of iron, two of which are in very good spots, inside the fat crosses of our cities.

I also founded the city of Wroth this turn. I decided to move it 1W to get the cows, because there's no point in not doing it. I don't think a city to the far west can be really profitable, so, yeah...

A look inside:

It'll slow build this monument, helped by a chop (the silk tile, since we'd need to do it to improve that tile anyway).

The other city will be on the sugar. That's right. We will shamelessly break our word. Don't worry. I have a good plan, very deceitful. I'll say it was a misclick. Who'd say that the "b" key could be used to build a city... huh

It'll be settled in that northern sugar. There's a rice tile in that unrevealed spot, just so you know.

To settle that city, we will need a proper defense. So it's time to reveal the big luck we had on this turn. There was a pesky barb warrior in a forest tile near our capital. He was really forking things and making movement difficult.

What did I do?

85% odds... We needed the victory...

Well done! bow

This guy will escort the settler, while there's another skirm being built in the capital that will follow him. It's risky, but it seems Sunrise is being attacked by Rome, so I think we will have time to fortify the city in a better way soon.

Here we can see the exploration that the woody2 axe is doing. There's some interesting places to the east. A pity that they are really far and will require a lot of worker labor...

An Ontopsychological analysys of the Diplo Thread from PB 7: A case study, part I

For the weak minded, it may seem that the Diplo Thread from PB7 is just a thread for friendly banter between players of a casual (pun intended) computer game. BUT IT'S NOT!! The Diplo Thread (shortened to DT from now on) is actually the place of intense battles of the mind, where the actual GAME is being played. "The Pitboss is a farce"¹, it has been said. This is also true for the PB7 game played in the online community of Realms Beyond². While the eletronic game exists (it has something to do with cities and units or something like that, irrelevamt), the actual GAME is not about that game, but about another game (GAME).

This means that the game being played in the pixelated world is not the conflict in itself. It is only the "creator of conflict³". The real conflict is between the minds of the players, in which they struggle to find out who has the SUPERIOR INTELLIGENCE. In the end, only one sane mind will prevail (crowned the WINNER¹¹), leaving the others competitors in a scenario of totally smashed pride, dubious manhood and possibly being scratched off the superior mind's boot. A miserable condition which translates itself into the loss of humanity and personality.

The objective of the game, inherently conditionated by it, is to overcome the alien minds with a combination of arrogance, smugness, presumption, disrespect, condescension, lies and whatever else is needed to blow the brains of the adversary, making him enter a state of unwillingness to even exist in the form of being in the GAME (a concept commonly described as "this game is not fun anymore") and concede to the MASSIVE MIND CAPACITY of the player.

That being said, we will now take a look at the case of Mackoti/SevenSpirits vs. Commodore/Xenu.

¹PLATONICUS. Truth, Reason, Art and Pitboss: A study of the human mind. Some translations from the original greek work translate this sentence as "There is no Pitboss". This translation, though, is wrong, since it implies that the Pitboss doesn't exist in the realm of the being. What the author meant was that, while the Pitboss is, it is NOT about the Pitboss.

³MALCHICHAVEL. Civilizatum Quatrum: Beyondus Swordum.

¹¹"Whiner" is also a possible translation.

lol bow lol

That should really have been posted in the Public Diplo Thread. lol

So, what makes the sugar city so much better that it's worth antagonizing sunrise? Or you just doing it for the yucks?

I agree with this. Are we spoiling for a fight?

I couldn't stop laughing when I read that 'study', Ichabod. I'm lucky you posted it while I was at home, not at work lol

I think I agree with the overall consensus on sunrise. Not that we should be friends, per se - but don't poke him. Either go for a kill, or a crippling blow at the least, or leave him alone. Never do an enemy a small injury.
