Turn Report:
Moved scout, Nicolae founded Hinduism in TCR. There's no way Sian can hold his front city in the long term due to the cultural differential methinks.
Hindu China:
Whipped a 3-pop settler out of the cap, will overflow into the library and finish that off. We've enough gold to go 100% @ Math so we do so.
Workers are moving north so that we can set up cities A & B super quick. Since they work off bonus resources mostly. Thoughts on a sealing city to steal Sian's Whales?
Axe to finish in Geometry, then I don't know. It's got the library already.
Arithmatic should probably build population to double-whip the library, and then overflow into a workboat. That'll get the city set for a long while as we prechop it's forests in anticipation of wondering something. (HG or Mids. We can throw a city down on the stone the turn before...)

It will take awhile to flip it - but maybe not all that long to lose control of a tile that opens it up to first turn attacks by cats, which basically means it's dead. This is good for us
I like the idea of stealing Sian's whales!! If we put a city on the hill that we are using for a sentry position, he can't settle to get them. He can't fork anything, he can't boat us... it's a very, very strong position.
If we do that, we probably should build another axe in geometry, because I would expect Sian to react poorly to the placement. I don't know that I like it better than A (though it's close), but I like it better than C. And I could be persuaded to try it for our next city, if you want.
Here's a thought (and I'm fine with A): we do the same thing on our side (settle on that plain hill)
We lose the sheep and a tundra hill, but gain strong defense in the north and no real need to worry about where to place a city to get that copper/fur - and fur is an available happy resource now, where whales take awhile.
I'm ok with either that site or A for our next city - I'm also ok with putting the squeeze on Sian now (by putting city #4 over there now) - the squeeze play on sian now is a little dangerous, though.

Oh no, the next city is definitely A. But the conflict between Sian and Nicolae will definitely suck up their attention and resources so we should take advantage to get more land than we "should".

I really like the idea of grabbing that site from Sian (after A) I think he'll retaliate by building a city south of Geometry, but that's ok - the land there is much more open and easy to attack.

I've got the turn and then you'll have the next couple at least over the weekend.

I think we should neither whip or stagnate geometry - we want it to be able to grow into cottages and it doens't have a lot of extra food. (ie, don't build workers or settlers there unless we are flat on food - I'd prefer to grow over the happy cap, since it will go up at some point)
So, I suggest it build units - probably 2 more axes. this one and a holkan go up to our northern border with sian, whereever that is (and, more and more, I think the city after A) should be that blocking city) - holkan fortified on a hill basically means that chariots bounce off. Unless they get lucky, of course. We don;t need horses, i don't think, until we go on the offensive...

Broadly, AT, I agree. We'll need to look into the details of execution.
We finished an axe and started on another axe in geometry. It's whip penalty will wear off the same time it grows at this rate. Additionally, I tasked a worker to road the ivory so that'll raise the happy cap again. That should stand us so that we have time to hook up the furs north of Sian w/out trouble.
For the time being I also positioned the axe so that it can cover both cities in the south. Notice that same tile will be able to cover the "D" site as well.
We founded the city of Vocabulary and handed it the deer until the sheep can be improved. The workers moved off to start the road further into the north since Vocab will be whipping itself for a bit.

We met Tankra, so I reallocated all our Espionage points to him as well.

one thing we should watch out for, long term, is culture issues on that gold from Chiton. Sian's built stonehenge AND oracle in his cap, so he'll get a prophet soonish, which I assume he'll use to shrine Chiton. Which is a pain in the ass for us.

Easiest solution is to just go freaking kill him... ya know? :P
