@Krill - Yes, it's our Liquid. He's even semi-local to Sullla and very local to me in real life. Small world.
He's obviously a much better player and me and better than most of our RB crowd. I'm not equipped to say who's better or worse than their ELO, but you don't get to 2k by being a true baddy In that particular game he was deliberately feeding top to get the GP fed. sunrise089 Wrote:He's obviously a much better player and me and better than most of our RB crowd. The hell, that implies that there are people here better than Liquid I knew Cull is good but come on sunrise089 Wrote:but you don't get to 2k by being a true baddy*cough* Spellsy *cough* Sullla Wrote:Yes it is. Diva and Speaker are still convinced that Liquid is a noob, even though he's been on team Curse for the past year.To be fair, I think everyone is a noob, including myself. Except at Kennen. I'm pro at Kennen. "There is no wealth like knowledge. No poverty like ignorance." Speaker Wrote:To be fair, I think everyone is a noob, including myself. Except at Kennen. I'm pro at Kennen. You mean Veigar right? I've never seen you play Kennen. Is it a secret champ strat only for ranked and not Sullla's Customs? ssmagus Wrote:You mean Veigar right? I've never seen you play Kennen. Is it a secret champ strat only for ranked and not Sullla's Customs? We play ranked??? AFAIK, Speaker doesn't even have time for ranked.
Apparently this thread has died off for 5 days so given the fact that no one is interested in opening a new topic ill go ahead and ask for opinions on the new champ Varus.
I have watched some of the streams from last night (and im glad the alphabet stopped just before me:P) and have come to a fairly right conclusion concerning him(at least according to me feel free to correct thats what critics are for:P): Ever since he was announced based on his the information of his abilities(mainly his q and ultimate) he has reminded me of a DotA hero: Sylvanas Windrunner (her powershot and shackleshot). However it might just be me but he looks like a mage and is designed like a carry its kinda strange. (i dont know if you understand the feeling) http://eune.leagueoflegends.com/champion...etribution http://www.playdota.com/heroes/windrunner I haven't played him yet reason 1 because hes expensive like every new champ (:P) and reason 2 because id rather wait 2 weeks to play him for free first rather than buy him and not feel right with him
Never trust something that bleeds for 5 days and doesn't die!
Every Varus I've seen has been strong (small sample size etc). I put forward two hypotheses:
1) He's OP 2) People don't know how to play against him These are not mutually exclusive obviously, but I think 2 is a bigger factor than 1 at the moment (though I think he's strong)
Varus is seemingly the perfect addition to CLG's poke comp. Its like having Xerath's poke without having to stand still.
"We are open to all opinions as long as they are the same as ours."
Doublelift was talking about him on stream for awhile and had three problems with him- 1) He's an early game champ that's built for winning the lane, but loses to urgot, which means that while you can counterpick an AD by picking him, but can't just pick Varus. 2) He dramatically falls off late game 3) He has no way to escape other then flash and has trouble kiting in a team fight. He was doing absurdly well in lane though, several games in a row I think he was getting 4 or 5 kills in lane pretty easily. He seemed to like Alistar/Varus combo.
Maybe he'd do well top lane? |
