What I mean by that is obviously you have a wide range of latitude in determining how... aggressive? you are with your forces. You could declare war but only half heartedly attempt to harass the person, or you could go whole hog and really knock them around. I don't know what the best way would be to arrange things. Maybe some sort of upfront payment as well as some sort of additional payment per city taken / unit killed / worker stolen? I don't know how we would best "prove" that stuff though.

Do you have any thoughts on that? As for another round, we have had some discussions about another round but nothing set in concrete. What are you teching right now?

Of course that was before you snagged 7 techs overnight so maybe that's not as attractive.

I wouldn't say that our tech "cartel" is falling apart. But certainly given that (almost) everyone else has caught up (nearly), I'd say there are certainly opportunities for mutually beneficial trades. I am currently researching currency

I think I probably could have gotten it on T93 or 94. But if everyone either has agreed to not build the HG or doesn't have math (or gets it late), then I plan on delaying it a bit to settle more cities. 5th city is on its way (T88) and I am already planning on how I can get 2 more by T95 or so. Krill just founded his 7th city last turn (T82) to give a comparison.

Broker tells me that dsplaisted just finished Metal Casting last turn (T82), so I don't know how that affects things if at all.

Also, I'm starting to get worried about Krill. Now that he has NAPs with the Lins and sunrise, he is really leveraging his traits by expanding like crazy (he now has 7! cities). So while I have been in the past lukewarm about our attacking plan, I am warming up! Let's talk about what needs to happen and when.

I was thinking about our relations the other day, and remembering that we have a NAP through T103, with no automatic extension or anything. And what seemed like a long time away when we signed it seems to be sneaking right up on us. T103 is now 20 turns or so away.

So I thought I'd start off with some discussions about whether or not you wanted to renew or extend it. Any thoughts? I thought it might also be useful to have some discussions about where you saw our borders lining up. I know that you settled an early city towards ruff (i.e. away from me) and I have similarly put most of my cities to my south. But obviously eventually we're going to have to start settling to my NE and your W (the common area between us).

I haven't explored a whole lot up there, but I seem to remember there being a river that was about 9 tiles from my capital and 10-11 from yours that might make sense as a border. I was thinking of putting my border city maybe at the mouth of this river (I think there's a fish there?). Obviously this is still very early on and I haven't made any concrete plans in that area, but I thought it was a useful thing to talk about.
