speaking of which, what do you think theimpact of sacrificial altars will be on the coming war?
Can't imagine much. Even with it being his UB how many Courthouses would one realistically build this early?
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

I'd think that sacrificial altars wouldn't matter much for a war, but would greatly help recovering after it. If there is an after.

Gaspar, I'll be unable to get to the turn until lunchtime and you're due one anyway, unless I hear otherwise I'm leaving this one to you. Only thought/reminder is that if IW can be teched in 1 turn, might as well do it to see where our iron is/Sian's metal is.

Didn't do anything too exciting. I basically rolled into all the builds you suggested. I queued Barracks in the capital and Yojamba Isle and started our first Numid in Sen'jin. Probably the Barracks should be whipped at the first opportunity. Actually, truthfully pretty much all of these builds should be whipped in the next turn or two.
Loaded 2 of the Peons into the capital along with a Galley to be ferried about the empire soon. I suspect one can be dropped off at the desert site, the other... well, you make the call.
The other two are in position to chop out the granary and probably a lighthouse for Mount Mugamba before returning to throw down semi-useless cottages on Zandalar's stray tiles.
Here's a shot of what everybody's working on:
Oh yeah, and Iron...

Typical chat with rego:
Quote:regoarrarr: hey there gaspar
Gaspar: mornin
regoarrarr: what's going on
Gaspar: not much, you?
regoarrarr: not a whole lot
ready to get those numids into action?
Gaspar: I was born ready?
regoarrarr: lol
Gaspar: I'm not entirely sure what qualifies as action, but we are all awfully close together for a tiny islands map
regoarrarr: yeah
sian seems to think you're coming for him
Gaspar: I've gotten that impression from him as well
I'd feel better about making ol' Joao over there nervous truthfully :P
regoarrarr: is he your other border
?
Gaspar: yeah
regoarrarr: how close are you guys?
that would be 4 cities over teh past 4 turns....
i was trying to keep pace but it's becoming awfully difficult....
Gaspar: Yeah, same. We've not had any serious border trouble - I think he's trying not to be too aggressive towards because he's obviously running a super giant farmers gambit. But nobody likes having that guy as a neighbor.
regoarrarr: yeah
looks like everyone has been running a pretty insano farmers gambit
until you guys just took over i've been #1 in soldiers for a long time
and i wouldn't say my military is HUGE
i mean i've got some
and i'll be getting some longbows here in a few turns
but still
and everyone else was even lower than that!!!!!!
Gaspar: yeah, I wouldn't call our military especially large either. The script says farmer's gambit but I'm not sure that the actual map supports it longterm
Our homebases are all awfully close and someone's going to get antsy soon enough
regoarrarr: looks like someone teched IW this turn
i bet it was you guys - am i right?
Gaspar: Your C&D-fu is strong, sir
regoarrarr: lol
well your power is spiking and while i wouldn't be surprised to see a few numids
IW is 10K soldier points
some info you might be interested in that surprised me
sian at least by my count is #1 in total beakers
Gaspar: well, that doesn't surprise me
small empire is better for tech at this stage, with maintenance costs what they are and limited cottaging potential
regoarrarr: yeah
and he has Rep too of course
Gaspar: yeah
regoarrarr: well anyways i guess i better run
save's in so i better play it before pindicator yells at me ![smile smile](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/smile2.gif)
nice chatting with you
Gaspar: likewise, have fun
regoarrarr: if you ever want any of my c&d guesses just let me konw
happy to help an across the world bud
Gaspar: Might take you up on that, thanks
regoarrarr: sure thing

So if we succeed in making Sian build an honest garrison, one that prevents him getting full value from the 'mids...is there a particular reason we ought to go for him and not yuris? Just because he was rude about the potential flip?

Really because we'd love to have the 'mids ourselves and he's a softer target, plus there's an easy-to-grab potential shrine there for the taking. Nothing says we have to kick off things right at turn 80, of course, the garrison troops are being quite useful right now, as our happy cap has increased by leaps and bounds.

Yeah, plus you have to actually read rego's message right to really understand it. Here, let me translate for you:
Quote:regoarrarr: Looks like you guys might attack someone, is it going to be me?
Gaspar: lol u so funny rego
regoarrarr: Look over there, at him, not me!
Gaspar: ahahahahaha lmao rego
regoarrarr: Seriously, dude with mids is a good target, he's got a lot of beakers.
Gaspar: roflmao
regoarrarr: How about Yuri, he looks scary don't he?
Gaspar: u rite he iz scary!!!11111eleventybillion
regoarrarr: ![frown frown](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
Gaspar: You're lucky you're far away, pal.

Not to mention:
Quote:Regoarrrarr:Hey, see how big my stick is? Maybe not as big as yours, but definitely second biggest! Also, about to have all my city-guardsmen equipped with longer sticks!
Gaspar: Eh, we're not really in contest here. Yeah, it'd be smartest to not hit anything, probably. We're still about to wreck a dude, though.
Making him nervous? Great. Maybe we should flash a spare galley at him...
