In my current game I don't have the spell Spell Binding so I can't see its text. In the spellbook.pdf, it says it "steals a global enchantment" but I think there was a recent revision that adds the spell to the stealing wizard's spell book instead of taking control of the global enchantment.
In both cases, I am surprised by what just happened. I thought only an active global enchantment could be bound but my ally Raven copied my recently researched Power Link -- which I hadn't cast.
Is it intended that a wizard can copy a spell from another wizard's spellbook even though it isn't globally active? I don't think it should be as not casting a spell is a counter to having it copied. I wouldn't have researched it yet had I known it could be stolen. (Horus is blasting all my spell casts; I knew I wouldn't be able to complete the cast.)
Is binding a spell considered a hostile act? I certainly regard stealing my research as hostile! Especially from an ally.
So the only two counters are to not research a spell or to spell blast Spell Binding, which may be being cast by an ally and is a hostile act against them, but it isn't in return?
Spell Binding should have some other limit IMO. The enchantment needs to be active or the cast should be a hostile act. It's an asset that is taken that can't be stopped without an hostile act.

I just bought Caster of Magic with DLCs on steam. I'm seeking the bugs forum, but haven't find, so, reporting here.
When I entered enchant equipment screen, couldn't leave, nor by OK nor by ESC... It was the beginning of a game, and I had artificer retort.
Windows version.
And a suggestion. Put a restart game option, either on first turn or later... sometimes starting location is awlful and the only option is close the game and set it all up again...
This bug wasn't fixed on version 1.00.04...
This time I had no artificer retort.
Adding ESC as key to leave this screen would be nice, also.
I'm still unable to reproduce that. I can leave that screen with Esc and the Ok button, even right after starting the game. There must be an additional step to get it stuck.
Suggestions:
1) The computer opponents can cast land spells, like disenchant area, on unities they can't see because they have no unity nearby... I think this is terrible.. because every wizard can cast a disenchant area on a group, so it can never have many spells on them.. very annoying.
1.a) There could be a global enchantment to see every unity...
1.b) Disenchant Area is too powerfull for the price... Maybe a defense against it would be interesting, like a "over spell lock"
2) There could be a report option not to see the animation when other wizards cast global spells, so it doesn't interrupt the beginning of a new turn.
3) On trade spell, it would be good to see what spell I'm trading on the part I choose what spell I will receive.
4) There could also be a "confirm attack", before attacking someone you are not in war with. Sometimes, when you tell the unity to move more than it can see, it will attack neutral empires.. so I have to move 2 by 2 squares...
