Haha. It seems to be accepted in e-sports, which is a shame. In football, it isn't

I felt that Evo doesn`t really take themselves seriously. While I watched it live I kept thinking if I was a professional at this what would I do when forced to play against amateurs.

The first thing would be to adress the few things that went wrong in the first game. Use the second game to show your superiority, yes, but through proper play not by showing you can stomp while trolling.

A pro team could use these low profile games to train reserve team members, practice different champions and different strategies.

Evo showed that they aren`t really professional. They learned nothing from the second game. I felt they were annoyed that the amateurs did well the first game so in a very LOL solo queue way decided to troll to show who is boss.

It might be an impression, i have only seen a few games and haven`t been following these competitions as you guys did, but watching IEM Hannover and listening to the interviews I got the feeling that the russian team is in it to win, professionaly. Their interviews are "humble" like a professional sportsmen, dodging the urge to praise themselves too much.

I remember the announcer asking M5 team captain what they do when they are losing and have to make a comeback and he responded something like "I don`t know, i`m very bad at these situations and I rely on my team to pull through".

On the other hand HotshotGG`s interview after a game where he made the key mistakes that made it possible for M5 to do a spectacular comeback was along the lines of "We didn`t lose because of my mistakes, they won because they know more champions. I have to learn more champions...etc." Implying that as long as he has the tools he is better then the other team.

Again, i haven`t followed these things for as long as most of you, but there seems to be a problem with teams taking themselves seriously and acting professionaly.

Now I`m by no means a moralist. In soccer I applaud a team that plays well and loses (Barcelona) while I don`t really care about a team that plays "ugly" and wins (Chelsea), in esports it`s the same thing. Trolling isn`t going to show your superior skills. Trying innovative strategies, fluid play and teamwork, that`s what shows skill. Even if Evo lost game 2 there are many other ways to show you are more skilled. They only showed everyone they aren`t serious about themselves.

Also it`s not cool to your audience. If they want to be respected they have show respect.

M5, the "russian team", has a history of being pretty rude and mean. I would use Dignitas as the polite mature team.
