Great update thumbsup thanks! I can see from your post and your builds that you know your stuff, Inca really needed some workers! Thanks and good luck

How do you calculate the WW number?

I've seen it somewhere but it's been awhile, I think it's something like 1 for winning on attack, 2 for winning on defend, 3 for losing on attack or defend, 6 or so for cities, etc. Or none if action takes place on your culturally dominant (not just controlled) tiles, as Sullla/Speaker have on everybody else.

So how do you get that data on the opposing teams in a war you're not directly able to watch? That's the trick I want to know.

I think you can see it on the F4 screen when you mouse over that leader

So I found Nakor's border on the other side of Rome there. You can see clearly that that Roman city was once Plako's. Plako offered me OB this turn and I accepted. Also is the new roman city on my border. It has its only food as the clam that I already have culture on since ~2 turns ago (chopped exp terrace), and so being the same 2-tiles-away as my city he'll probably never win that culture battle. It is overly green land, and his workers are building farms, but his city placement choice makes me think that someday he intends to have my city.

This is at 0% science and so for my 2 turn 100% science run on sailing the graphs jumped up to ~100 for GNP. Some of this is ok. I anticipate being a contender for crop yeild which is always a good thing. But alot of work to do. Hopefully we're allowed the peace to do these things.

Thanks for some great update material - nice to see how things are at this end of the world.

Overall, if you don't mind the question - how do you feel about your situation? Are you happy with your inherited civ?

Another great update, thanks! You have a nice looking empire there, #1 in land area congratulations! I'd be interested to hear some of your long term plans for city specialization; for example I see your library in Cuzen, will you go for a GS there, perhaps even a long term GP farm? Which city are you considering for military/HE city down the road?

I'm getting more and more pleased with each turn. A neighbor got knocked out early (by me) and that's let plenty of land open to me. To claim land (especially in mutliplayer) is so much more hammer-efficient peacefully than not. And Expansive is the trait to have in this case (maybe even more so than IMP). When I first took it I was told only inca so I naturally assumed Financial, and the economy isn't in the best shape, but if I can keep the peace for long enough I feel I can eek it out to a better footing. I plan to play to my traits a little bit: going through mono and running org. religion for courthouse whips. I'm usually not much of a fan of courthouses at all for economy's sake, until late renessance or so. But they can be useful with lots of cities and that looks to be what we have here. Right now most maintanence is low (5 or so in even most distant cities) but alot of this is because I have a low number of cities total (7). My next 3 cities i think will be the filler next to capitol, no farther than 5 tiles. These cities will have low maintenance but will boost the other's which will be mature to whip. This and cottages/scientists will get us to monarchy, and we'll be fine from there. I tend to push cottages/growth at cost of scientists: I have a weakness for tending to be in no rush for setting up gp farm. But then I think I want a prophet first and maybe a spy second.

Here I am at 100% science but cant' do this often. Recent/nextturn settler whips will leave gold mines unworked, etc, so will shrink a lttle as well.

Thanks for a concise answer! smile

It's the way I tend to play too. Often look at great GP farm sites and think how pretty they'd look covered in towns? tongue

Does seem a nice chunk of land there. First in land area by a reasonable margin.

Interesting thought on the courthouses, guess if the empire gets big enough it needs to be done.
