Would it be reasonable to put a reasonable cap on Ballista Elephants while banning other War Elephants? Something like one per city, or no more than 25% of Timmy's military units can be elephants? Then Timmy isn't screwed out of a UU but can't go elephant-stomping everybody.

(If Timmy gets the ivory, I have no idea if it's near him or not)

Oh I was being completely cheeky. I had my chance to revise my civ choice, and declined, and will certainly agree to the ban on elephant mobilization.

T-hawks line of thought would have some promise if we were still in the planning stage, but too late to change the rules now.

Just an early headsup:

I will be away on holiday for about a week from July 24-30. I'll probably be able to play a turn on the 24th before leaving but will be without Civ access after that until I return home.

There should be lots of time to decide on what to do with this period, just bringing it up now so it won't come a surprise to everyone.
