ozzy founded a city 1S of the gold - I must not have seen the settler. he's at highest pop and land. That's probably his 4th city.

I'd save chops for after mathematics is in. I'd probably drop 2-turns of prechopping into it now though. Was thinking perhaps to throw a city down on the stone to steal the pyramids - just an idle thought.

Putting a farm on that grassland, I'm not so keen on, will it change our growth rate substantially?

ok - in short:

theStick has his axe-w-unused-promotion back.
I roaded up north
Pastured 1 T of the north sheep
Added another turn for the cottage.
Chopped a turn.
finished the pasture

Moved the scout further west.

I am not sure what our next city is:

is it:

B for horses?
At the steal point for Sian?
Or south, to the stone?

I think we want to steal from Sian.
The stone is tough - settling ON the stone means no food for that city - it's kind of a crap site, except for the stone.
Not settling on the stone, however, requires IW.
I can be persuaded to go south.

I'm not bothering too much with figuring out what we want to around the cap - are those going to be all cottages to? I assume we are pop whipping settlers out of the cap for while...

Pics are boring, but I'll put them up in a bit. No one's power spiked or anything.

theStick moved his axe in, 1N of the sheep. he's irritating.

I think we should move our 1st axe into geometry and our 2nd axe 1N of the copperl. I really don't want to use 2 axes to defend against one, but he's got a promo and we don't, so he could kill us

We have to move our sentry back, as well, or he'll get killed.

Geometry needs a build - I'll put a turn into an axe, but we should decide if we want a rax there.

i'll hold off till later to actually play it, though. It's hindsight, but we should have moved the axe on the hill in closer to the city and kept him out of that forest. If his axe gets there, we won't be able to dislodge it until chariots, and he'll be a pain in the ass.

*sigh*

We could try diplo, I suppose....

I designated 3 points:

A is the spot 1N of the copper.
B is forest hill 1S of the wheat
C is the forest 1e of the wheat

theStick's axe is currently 1E of C.

I don't really want his axe in that spot. So, i propose the following movements:

Both warriors to C. theStick can kill one of them, but can't move in
An axe to Arithmatic
the axe and holkan in Geometry to A

theStick either kills a warrior (there is some worry of another promo), moves away or moves on the hill 1E of B.

If he moves away, everything resets
If he kills a warrior the axe moves to C, the holkan and axe move into Arithmatic
If he moves to the hill, the axe moves to C, 1 warrior moves back into arithmatic and the holkand and axe move to B.

We need either archers or chariots - 1 axe is causing this much trouble - that's not good.

k - moved the units around.

Then I realized we weren't playing AW, so he would have to declare. Ah well. He probably won't.

I added some signs for places I think we should road, to make moving units around easier.

theStick's power is going up. I dunno if he is reacting to us or we are reacting to him wink

I'm continuing to road to the blocking tile.

the palindrome folk are mining their copper now.

Both turns played. Will get a report up shortly. Gathering gold right now and really sorely tempted to whip out a 2nd settler for 3 pop from Geometry as well as Algebra.

We finished Math. Putting the free beaker into Currency right now. My thought is that we let other people build wonders and we spam out a bunch of cities and make use of the whip to go nuts with workers and settlers. We've got the highest power now so I don't think Sian or TheStick will call us on it. smile
