wow. He is accepting pretty much as is. I'd say we accept:

Quote:So your proposal is:

I will gift Sparta to you
We sign a long-term NAP (Length to be discussed, how about T110?)
I promise not to settle west of Sparta

In order for me to sign this, you need to promise not to settle East of Sparta. Additionally we should both cease espionage spending during the NAP after I match your current total.

I would like us to sign peace this turn, so I have offered peace along with Sparta. If you accept, then I will assume you have accepted the proposal above.

Very nice.

However I can't help but see similarities to a certain Whosit/korea peace deal.

Oh good.

We'll probably get hoisted by our own petard in letting him live but in a no tech trading game, alliances shift back and forth and I don't expect that much long term fallout. What I would be worried about is becoming the mid game runaway. We have 30% more land than everyone else. This is a huge coup to get this much land without really firing a shot.

If anything, the lurkers will enjoy reading about how he fights his way back into this if WarriorKnight is willing to play seriously long term. Hopefully he has the RB spirit to do it!

As for shades of Whosit. Well, he was ADHD, he peaced with Korea to send his praetorians around the world into a fail war declaration, we will be doing the Inca and expanding everywhere and rocket to the lead once all our cities kick in.

We've peace again smile. I switched all other cities except capital on workers. I'll convert to slavery in couple of turns and whip them out where possible i.e. Sparta (had to find new name for it) and Noms.

He was weaker than I thought, only 2 warriors near Sparta.

What do you want to name it? I'm partial to the standard "This is SPARTAAA!"

Turn played and if there is a land route we should have very good shot at circumnavigation:

Details of the peace deal:
* NAP until T110
* Vertical line starting from Sparta is the border. No settling on the wrong side of the border
* Espionage turned off, except WK can match our current tally (I did forget to redirect my espionage. I'll hopefully remember on my next log in.)

My original suggestion included also no settling on the border. However WK wasn't happy with that and I didn't want to be unreasonable so I accpeted that he can settle on top of it. Clearly there is not much room in the north for him to settle.

As you can see expenses raised considerably because of the latest city. I'm going for Pottery-Writing next. Before Writing we can only afford to settle the gold city towards Nakor anything else would be too expensive.

We're basically now favorites to win this. I hope I don't blow this up. Our position will obvivously make us the top dogpile target. Luckily the map seems to offer natural choke points that should enable us to keep our core safe and we've quite alright relationship with the Vikings.

On other news. I had a chat with Luddite. He obvivously did notice the score changes through civstats. He is going for Oracle and maybe also Temple of Artemis. He did go through Meditation so might have lost religion race with a small margin. Apparently he doesn't have BW yet that is quite strange in my opinion, but I guess he has handled the diplo so that there is no danger for him.
