Golden age!
Also visible (barely): Gaium and Lewwyn's economies.
It's really too bad we've lost Mackoti's graphs. He is of course still above us in GNP. Btw he got Construction as a followup to Machinery so attacking him with knights seems unlikely.
Since we delayed the golden age a turn to enable Caste System, what are we getting from it? This:
Each scientist in Attach Mimes is worth 11.1b and 15gpp. We just produced a great person from Blameless Yin at the end of this turn (a merchant). We'll get two from AM during the golden age. Failed Sum's GP will be come several turns after the golden age is over. I believe that's the one we'll use to bulb Education. AM's will hopefully be scientists we can settle.
A few more highlights:
We have a couple unhealthy cities due to losing rice and banana in the peace treaty, but we'll hook a replacement rice next turn. As you can see we are building a few more settlers for backfilling.
We finally lost control of the clam here at end of turn. Nogo's new cities are pretty cramped by our culture though.
Lastly, here's King Ban which has been through all kinds of crap, not having food resource for a long time, being attacked... Finally it's looking good!
In diplo, NHG accepted horse for horse but declined silver/deer for banana/rice. I wonder what they are planning now?

Our merchant from last turn is going to go on a trade mission somewhere. Minimum value for that is $603; that's on an island city of NoGank who just reset our peace counter a few turns ago.
To get up to $737 we have two options, 1) wait until 9 turns have passed since peace with NoGAyet so the peace bonus recovers to the next threshold, or 2) run slapdash into Mackoti's jungle gems city. The latter seems a bit risky to me especially because he probably has city visibility on us by now.
Finally to get to $871 we need OB with Mackoti so we can sail into his island marble city. Therefore we offered OB to him again this turn - I've been offering it with decreasing gold requirements over the last few turns and he's declined them all but maybe he'll take free. If he doesn't we'll send it to a Gablium city, either now or after the peace modifier is back up.
Now, THIS turn: well, there was some micro but not much to post about. Novice wished for Construction (to make our workers more efficient) and since we will still produce enough beakers to get HBR, Guilds, and Banking in the three following turns I greenlighted that. EOT we got a great scientist (at like 80%) from AM. Yay.
I also noticed Lewwyn is building something big in his capital; the obvious answer is the AP. He has a ton of cities, well-spread hinduism, and he's spiritual. And he teched Theology. So I'm sure he'll finish that soon. And I noticed two opponents have HBR now, not just one.

That's true, but it can't enter the city. And if the GM disembarks he'll just get whacked.

And on the sixth day, god created Manchester.

A lucrative trade mission with Mackoti allows us to keep researching pedal to the metal.
Guilds this turn, then Banking, Engineering, Civil Service, Paper, Education (bulbed), Economics.
On the final turn of our golden age we'll revolt to Representation/Vassalage/Slavery/Mercantilism/Organized Religion.
We still need to decide if we want to hit NoGNP back with knights, push infra, or try to do both.
We settled one filler city this turn, will settle one next turn and then we'll still have three more to go.
I have to run.

The creative mashups of NobGas' team name is my favorite part of this thread. The city names are also awesome.
A while back you mentioned that the first team nice to you would likely become an ally. Any developments on that front?

NoGuessWhatTheyAreThinking accepted our horse for horse trade but did not accept any real trades including the quite generous silver+deer for banana. So they're pretty solidly uncooperative.
Mackoti finally accepted OB for nothing, which if he realized we would get extra merchant moeny from it is a friendly gesture, but if he didn't realize this is him being quite stingy and only accepting trades that favor him by a lot. (He's declined e.g. OB for $25 which was still really favorable for him, apparently not enough though.) Two possibilities, either he is a bad and selfish trading partner or he is just fed up with complications. I suspect it's some of both.
Nobody has offered us any deals.
So I don't think anyone sees us as a friend, and we will just use pragmatism to decide who to fight. Mackoti is a pretty awful target as he has military tech on par with ours. Bongas is a much better target, they even have a few cities that have Buddhism and fit right into our dotmap! But we shall see what forces they brandish when the peace treaty ends; maybe their defenses will make it not worth it and we'll just stay defensive.
Btw Bongas got their great spy a few turns ago, and if I'm not crazy this is their FIRST GREAT PERSON. It's probably scouting through our tundra lands right now (unless they need it to start a golden age in the next couple of turns). While using your gpp to scout is pretty wasteful, it's a handy option if you have a congenital defect that prevents you from accepting OB agreements with the person you want to scout and from using specialist slots of buildings to produce more useful great people.
