Thanks, Gustaran!
I've been curious about Spec Ops: The Line since reading Shamus Young's blog series, but I haven't bought it because it's not really my favorite genre, and after reading those blogposts I've been spoilered pretty thoroughly. Ironically, if I hadn't been, this game probably wouldn't interest me at all. But now I'll give it a try!

Having visited many gaming forums in which getting insulted by 13-year-olds with questionable spelling habits is rather common, it is a nice feeling logging into RealmsBeyond and seeing someone reference Joseph Conrad. ![]() ![]() Speaking of anti-war games, "This War of Mine" can be played free of charge for the next 4 days on Steam: http://store.steampowered.com/app/282070...r_of_Mine/ The price is also reduced by 70%. Metacritic is 83 / User 8,4
You can get a free permanent copy of Crusader Kings II (Paradox type Grand Strategy) on Steam right now!

Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem is on sale on Steam. I've put a few hours into it already and it's really damn good.
The game is gorgeous, graphics wise of course as it runs on CryEngine, but it's not a slacker when it comes to visual design either: Also the build tree is something to make even a hardcore ARPG player like me gasp in awe: Overall a pretty good pickup I'd say, especially for the price.
The humble store is selling several sci-fi games at a discount this week.
Some highlights: All Master of Orion games: Doesn't need an introduction, I guess. MOO2 is commonly considered the best space empire game, even though that's actually MOO1 ![]() Sins of a Solar Empire: A mix between RTS and a very stream-lined 4X game. I have this game, but unfortunately, doing anything more than spamming soldiers in an RTS overwhelms me, so I can't really say how good it is if you play at a high level. Stellaris, and a pile of DLCs: I think this one is more for fans of Europa Universalis style games. IMO, it's not bad if you approach it with more of an RPG than strategy mindset, but not great either. Homeworld Remastered: Never played it, but it seems to have a lot of fans. Rebel Galaxy: Space sim where you trade, fight pirates, do missions etc. like Freelancer or Privateer. The twist is that the combat works more like naval combat. You move in a 2d plane and fire broadsides at the enemy ships. Repetitive, but has an awesome soundtrack. *I got it for free when I bought MOO 2016 on GOG. I'm curious if it's really that bad, but not yet curious enough to install it.
"Satellite Reign" is free for the next ~1.5 days:
https://www.humblebundle.com/store/satellite-reign The normal price on Steam is still $29.99, so maybe it's worth adding to your library. Metacritic is 75 / User 7.7.
Thea: The Awakening is on sale on GOG for 50% off.
