Arise, Riders of Rohanna! Ride for Molach! [SPOILERS!]

Turn 73

Tech
[Image: civ4screenshot0328n.jpg]
There is a hidden message here. Brick....Gazglum (misspelled)....must find the meaning somehow.

Demon warrior took a walk in & out of city after worker completed road, just to show off his new weapons...

Success in the south. My survivors were pretty healthy, barbs not.
And there is the adventurer. I suppose I could do axeman upgrade...he will upgrade further to chariot when that is ready. And of course, knight. Seems like I only lose 5 gold doing it in two steps like this. Okay then, next turn an Adventurous axeman. He'll have 17 exp next turn...

Attack in the NE was a great success. I attacked at 50% odds.
Well, perhaps my definition of success is a bit colored by my recent luck....I lost, of course. But weakened barb enough that my scout killed him handily. Lucky.

Demos:

Who needs demos. I'll kill 'em all anyway. Power graph showed Serdoa taking a hit. Maybe barbs struck home.

re:demos - ouch. Looks like the Orcs finally got their conquered cities online.

A hero chariot would be perfect for max flanking and an eventual 95% retreat knight. wink
(You can't get flanking 3 on non-chariot Hippus...)
I'd probably go for heroic strength after flanking 1/2/3, but combat probably wouldn't be bad either... anyway, having someone who usually won't get killed even on a loss and passively gains experience? Seems pretty good to me...

Turn 74

3 turns a day seems to be the norm. Soon we'll be the furthest advanced FFH pbem running.

Got greeted with this....
Someone wants chaos in the world. I suspect one of the evil civs...

Capital, been a while...
3 turns till construction is in, and growth, and build completes. Will move on to siege workshop, but hardly any time to build a catapult before damn HBR will finish. I'll do a turn of 100% gold, but still. Damn tech speed.

I upgraded Dae-dagnir, spectre killer, to axe as he had 9/10 xp. Fresh Axeman from south came up and got the kill on defense. Will put him on desert hill, orders to kill anyone approaching from the north.
Dae-dagnir must visit a city to level up then head....somewhere. Perhaps the north-east is a good place to found some cities? Yeah. Sent veteran scout and a fresh warrior up Bear isthmus, see about capturing some dancing bears. Barbarians, payback time.

Demos, Graphs.

Strange that all 3 are within 5 GnP of each other. Must be a sign.
And my power rating skyrocketing....nothing to do with any attack plans. Just barb defense and scouring future city sites.

Perhaps I should write Serdoa, wish him luck and all? With our mutual buildup? And perhaps he could ask hte clowns from me that I'd like a Mutual Defense Pact with him against the Orcs.mischief

Our NAP has run out, I'll not sign another with him this game. He might not be planning the major knockout blow on me just yet - but he should have an extremely experience wolf rider, which even has a nice bonus vs. archers. So need to keep my cities safe. Amon Harad has archer on defense, just built another and will complete one more before siege workshop. One for each corner of my empire, eh?

Newcity finished pasture so I switched to working that for growth. Also a gold here for commerce, and cotton for another +smile

EDIT: 95 % flanking would be nice. I was thinking about commando too, need combat IV for it though...

Turn 75

Not much to see. Built some stuff, sent it forth. Construction finishes next turn.

I might have gone a bit overboard with plans for buildup. I guess there isn't too much point going all-out buildup mode yet...I've got solid defenses now, 4 archers and 3 axemen, and warrior defenders with bronze and some to spare. I really should expand more....there is the former Sian lands, the Ultimate BFC to the NE, and good cottagable lands to the south - once I remove barb city. I'm actually having happiness problems - too much happiness, cotton finishes in 4 turns and no city will need it then.

Amon Harad is a bit of a production city already, it can spit out the siege workshop and a catapult or two. Rest can go back to workers/settlers.

Nothing to report.

Here is the report:

Just a coincidence that there is a gang of units in Rochirost. ARcher is going NE, axemen will take a look at the barb city. Catapult will be done in about 8 turns. My power is on par with Serdoas now (but food & GnP certainly not) so I should expand and improve a bit.

Turn 77

Heeeey, we can build stuff.
Amon Harad went to work on a siege workshop to test this out in practice.
Horseback Riding was set as next tech, but without any funding they were actually losing a bit of overflow knowledge...

Capital started building a settler, it will settle Sian former elvish land. Here. Archer leading the way.
Still haven't decided just where, though. Probably the eastern one, not much fun to the west.

Glorduin will also build one to go NE-wards.
Scout/Warrior trying to stalk some bears. Archer coming up on the other side of the lake.
In fact, I could grab fishing RQ and then build lake-city, as a stepping stone for further expansion.

I don't really have much to say other than "Is that one barbarian or a stack of them?"

Is that one barbarian in that stack, or are you just happy to see me?

I'll check, could easily be a city up north. A bunch of metropolises even.

Both barbarians were single-warrior-stack. The one facing my archer actually turned around and went home. One other has entered the desert, ready to be carved up and served for dessert. With my army in place, starting a new round of expansion soon.

Pictures on my home PC.

Diplo:
Quote:Hey Molach,

I get the feel that this game will be a long, builderish type. At least there is enough map left that immediate attacks make not much sense, right? Therefore I propose that we agree to a NAP, or even a MDP if you would be on board with something like that, till maybe T150? What do you think?

Kind regards,
Serdoa

Quote:Hello

Was thinking about writing myself, but these turn rolling so fast, no time for diplo.

Do you have any deals with the Balseraphs, if I may so inquire?
Haven't been able to ask them myself yet...'¨

Pleasantly, Molach of Hippus.

Quote:Hey Molach,

same issue for me, turns are rolling fast, I am in a few other games and sometimes I am also not in the mood to write flowery messages. That's also why I am open with you, I simply don't want to have to think hours about how to word something best, I rather just put it out there and be blunt sometimes wink

As for your question, yes, I do have currently deals with the Balseraphs, to be exact we have agreed to a long NAP though not to T150. That's why I proposed T150 to you, because I don't want them to end at the same time. I guess that's understandable?

Regarding your implied second question: If you want I can deliver messages between the Balseraphs and you till you guys meet in game.

Kind regards,
Serdoa
