From the team that couldn't find the big red "End Turn" button for months at a time? lol

On the topic of intentional diplomatic delay, CFC also seems to be stalling. And after we broached the subject of NAPs no less. Perhaps a prod and politely worded request for response by a finite deadline might help things?

(Yet another CFC discussion neenerneener)

Yeah, um, except to say the less heard the better from CFC, I'll keep out of that particular discussion until someone starts up with the "well, CFC are playing honorably, etc" crap again. rolleye

I like operation wait and see about the gems.

As for CFC, aren't they just generally slow? Though. Maybe they are seeing how well the NAP aligns with their time tables of getting enough tech to invade us? I wonder what would happen in 20 turns, if we moved a stack of units next to their Stupid Border City™ out of their LoS and in LoS of whichever Team has City Visibility on us...

If we want to sabre rattle we'd need to do it now, while we have time to redeploy before the German war or wait till after it ends.

I don't think its feasible for them to fight us right now. No signs of build up and the best they could hope for is stalemate since they have no advantage.

Don't react at all, I doubt the Germans are that honest that they would resend the message if we just don't react at all. Let the deal stay for the next few turns.

I like this idea. Also, I dislike the idea of pretending of not understanding the mechanics of trade deals. It sounds really suspicious. They may not know exactly what's going on, but it may alert them that something is up. We can send them after a few days something along the lines suggested by Scooter: "You're welcome, we cancelled the deal and reoffered the spices.".

We've been thinking about how to come to a more agreeable deal. We don't have much use for the marble right this minute, and it's unfortunate that later in our agreement it's not available. How about we compromise - we extend the NAP portion of our agreement from T175 to T200, and that means expanding the marble trade window so that we can agree on a mutually beneficial trade period. Does that work for you?

Thanks,

5 days and counting. How many days were we planning on stalling before replying to the Germans?

lol The difference we're still 30t out from the end of the CFC deal... and they know we're paying attention. Stalling won't work.

If they are planning aggression, this reply represents a problem for them Nice job scooter.

Btw, once it becomes clear that we are in a cold war with cfc, we should keep sending them controversial messages. If they are even remotely like we are, they will spend their turns arguing about the reply instead of focusing on current in-game decisions cool
