Warrior OTK.
He had 30 hitpoints and 22 armor, the enemy only had a 3/3 minion on board. Dead next turn.

It's not so much an idea of what the deck should look like as the fact that certain utility cards are really strong in Arena. And while I am aware of the fact that even with a great card pool I would probably not make it to 10+wins, it is sometimes frustrating to lose because your opponent rplays nice 8+ utility cards you would have liked to pick but were not offered. I can assure you I have not have a card pool like Sunrise's deck ever. I understand there is some skill in picking cards and that the pros can make sub par card pools work, but then again, I am at a point that I know the obvious picks a la Fireball/Polymorph/Pyroblast. The advantage of playing constructed is that once you use a viable deck and play a large enough number of games, skill is the deciding factor in the long term. So if I am stuck at a certain Rank for weeks, it is only my fault, while at Arena you can never be sure if you just got a bad card pool that is responsible for a poor result. Anyway, I will try to watch a few more videos of drafting and compare my choices to the pros to see if there is a major discrepancy. I just had an epic comeback in the arena.
Playing mage, and my 2 blizzards and 1 flamestrike all decided to crowd in the bottom 9 cards of my deck somewhere...never saw them. Anyway. He was at 30 health, I had 6. He had 3+3 damage on the board, plus totems. I had a minion. So he attacks and deals 6 damage. So from 0 health... First I'm saved by my secret, back to 3 health. Manage to trade my minion for one of his 3's, shoot the other. Play a minion. He is out of cards, totems up, so I manage to play my 2-3 creatures to take the board, and finally kill his totems off in 2 turns. All the time at 3 health. He puts creatures on the board, but no taunts. And I top-deck just the 2 damage I needed to finish him off with 17 damage (otherwise I'd have to trade and face a longer game still butt-naked). Wish I'd gotten a shot of that, or better, a film of his reaction all the way after his "well played" when he his my face to his death. I felt sorry for him, but at least he couldn't complain about OP flamestrike or legendary (yup my Illidan was also hanging out with my AoE spells in the low 9 cards).

"Goodness gracious, great balls of fire"
![]() (too spell-heavy deck, I only went 2-3 with it. Not shown in picture - deck contains 2 pyroblasts & 2 flamestrikes) Now, how about this deck. Any tips for how it should be played? ![]() I Took it for a spin, and won easily vs. a priest first match. Quick establish board, coin out weaponsmith and let frothing berserker run rampant - won by turn 6. About the draft, I got some bad cards here for sure - let's just assume that other options were worse. I picked Hogger over Onyxia on pick 30. I thought about it a long while, but I figured I've got a rush deck here, and that I rarely will be alive till turn 9 to play it. Hogger - I think of him as a 6/6 worth, with the taunt as a possible good thing. If enemy can't remove I probably win. I've played warrior 2 or 3 times in arena, this was first time I was offered the arathi weaponsmith - guess the game wanted me to really try him out. Upgrade I took over worse picks early on, never seen that either. And battle rage is also new. I think I like this card - on the first game I saved a 4/1 for a turn, and it also draws a card. Value, my enemy wasted a card on the 4/1 the next turn. They came along with some 'meh' picks, so I don't regret picking them. On the other hand I got zero warsong commanders, which I tend to like in warriors, for the surprising moved I'll be able to pull. And there are no big guys here apart from the Ogre. Perhaps I should have gotten Onyxia the Dragon instead? EDIT: Went 8-3 with the deck. Last game was against a guy with both a good deck and good luck drawing...Doomhammer and Onyxia, I had no ooze handy, GG. Doomhammer meant I never could have any creatures on the board, so Onyxia came and finished me off. No Hogger drawn, sadly. However 200 gold, and in my pack I found Lord Jaraxxus! Good game

Balance changes incoming:
