[Spoilers] It's time to be casual again

So then, how's the catapult supply? Now that we control the culture of the area, it seems possible to wipe out his stack and/or take the next two cities, presuming sufficient cats. Which is difficult with 3 cities, but then I didn't expect to see Blanquette again either...

I used all the cats on Blanquette, and none are in construction currently unfortunately. I think we'd need at least 8 to be able to counterattack but we're not going to do much if most of our hitters are spears and axes. So for now I'm concentrating on building crossbows to have some ok hitters as well

Oh well. Still making Cairo regret invading you!

I'd rather have eight cats than eight crossbows, but I'd rather have three crossbows than three cats, so that's a hard call. Cats are weird that way. A critical mass of them can absolutely wreck anything short of cavalry, but a trickle of them might as well be a pillow fight.

That's true. But the main issue currently is that Cairo's stack might be enough to take back Blanquette. So CB will help from the moment they arrive, and even 1 CB could be the difference between getting the stack wiped and holding the city.

Finally it's over

Amazing job holding out as long as you did!!

Yeah it's incredible that no one bothered to go for the kill. Ichabod is joining in to take the three eastern cities with his gazillion super promoted phracts. Oh well maybe I won't see another turn.

It's over? That's a relief.

Now if only I could figure out what we did so wrong in the beginning expansion phase, I might consider playing another game.

I read in the lurker thread REM saying that we whipped too hard in the beginning. I think he's right (and I think I said some things about that too in this thread). Also our neighbors seemed to all want to settle in our face (see Jowy beelining us but leaving Ichabod settle in his face) which made our land situation very complicated.
Of course probably a lot of micro mistakes from me, but that's a given.

In the first place you planted behind, but not your neighbors planted too close to you.
