I just noticed that everyone has restricted leaders in civs stats (i.e. a leader that normally belongs to their civ).. is this a normal civ stats quirk?

Turn 38:
here is our brave scout Gilgamesh: I set him to hill while he is safely on the jungled hill. But I could be talked into moving to the sheep hill (where he'll be moving anyway). I haven't ended turn yet. pros of healing: 1. there is a lot more land out there then I expected. I would like to explore all of it. we don't really know where serdoa is to the east or the south, and in any case i'd like to make it south once we finish off this area, and not get eaten 2. we ran into 2 injured animals, one of which must have eaten serdoa's injured scout (and I guess azza's first warrior must have been killed by the other). so there might even be huts over in this area. Again, don't want to die before we reach them 3. the hill will reveal a lot, but there could be animals next to it, and our defensive bonus is much better on the jungled hill pros of just moving: 1. animals are going to dissappear soon??? but not sure when. we may end up getting whacked by a barb warrior anyway. the homefront: 1. I moved Achilleus (hero of the Iliad) to the rice tile and will park him there until we have a bigger military. he can reach iliad in 1 turn and the capital in 2. The capital is safer - it has an extra turn of warning from expanded borders and is capable of whipping. Im thinking tenatively to have second warrior replace him while Achileus moves south and east - but not until the second warrior is built. btw, if anyone is curious, the workers are named "ishtar" and "helen" . 2. when I said we only needed to work the plains spice 1 turn, I lied. I switched back to it, with the chop coming in the workboat will finish EOT39. 3. pottery finished next turn. Gilgamesh grows to size 3 next turn as well. Ishtar finished her chop, and according to the sim is to join helen on the hill to finish the mine in one turn. But this just seems like a wasted worker turn to me. since pottery will be completed next turn, why not have her move one north and start on a cottage? the mine will take an extra turn to complete but I think the chop will still come in before we grow to level 4?? we can maybe work one of the forested hills one turn to make sure of that?? ill have to play with it in the sim. I know you don't like working undeveloped tiles, but this gives us a river cottage 2 terms quicker, which seems better intuitively. total global population has gone up to 40, which means the bottom 5 civs share 17 pop, or average above us . well, that will change soon! demos: the gnp is exciting! we are 1 off the top spot, and I expect to claim that next turn. not only will gilgamesh grow a pop and claim 2 extra commerce from the seafood, but we will switch to hunting, and collect at least one known tech bonus (we know azza has hunting from the pasturized pigs - although thats missing from your C&D Harry :P). the crop yield will also look nicer in 5-6 when we have nets over the seafood and a few cottages down.

Maybe he got it t27 instead of BW - that's possible isn't it? That would mean there are 6000 more soldiers out there unaccounted for... Edit: Actually that seems very unlikely. Maybe he started with Hunting instead of Fishing? There were some other fuck-ups on starting techs weren't there?

He probably would have needed fishing as well, he has a coastal capital.

He got a tech with no soldiers t11, I've got it down as Agri, but it could be hunting and someone lost a warrior the same turn... That seems equally unlikely.
Are you sure the pig is pastured?

That seems equally unlikely. yup we know azza lost something in the region we are in now (we killed 2 injured animals, one likely finished off serdoa's scout so the other one must have gone after azza). maybe that was his first scout and the one mauled by a bear on our borders was a second scout that he built?

Scouts don't give you soldier points and only Pindicooter or Nakorfool grew early enough to have built a warrior before t11. Maybe I just wrote down the soldier points wrong for t9 (3000), t10 (3200), t11 (3200)?
Would it be a spoiler to ask Krill if anyone else didn't start with the techs they were supposed to?

So we got Pottery this turn, which is actually a turn ahead of schedule from my sim. This means that the worker that just finished chopping can start a cottage instead of moving to the forest to help mine chop. We save one worker turn. If we work the FPH with the third citizen we finish the Granary in 3 turns with enough overflow to finish the warrior the turn after. Doing this means we delay growth to 4 by a turn but we get the warrior finished before the worker starts T43.
I'm not 100% positive yet about this considering if I move the worker onto the forest hill, its possible to then get the granary finished in 2 turns. This does waste 1 worker turn and maybe that extra food from getting the granary isn't worth it. I need to think about it before I make the final moves tonight.
