It is taking a heavy toll from the war. It will probably end with a million casualties on the Russian side. Ukraine is a much smaller country in terms of available manpower, and one with terrible demographics already - it can not afford to try and grind out casualties before it simply runs dry of soldiers first. Already there have been videos of female PoWs taken on the Ukranian side - a country resorting to conscripting women is usually not doing so well.

There are all kinds of rumors that Putin might sign some kind of ceasefire where he annexes some of the occupied land, but Ukranian leadership is not interested at all in giving up land at the time being.

Again, I would argue its the best military money we've spent in a long time. Most of the money coming back to the US, look good to allies, new orders for US equipment from other countries, neuter a geopolitical rival, send strong signals to prevent future war.

YES the US spends WAY too much on military. But again, theoretically the US should send a descent chunk of its tanks to Ukraine. The only reason we have them is to prevent war with Russia, so use them in a war with Russia. In general we should try to shrink the size of our military budget after this specifically in the army area. Any war with China is not going to to be decided by ground units or tanks. It will be decided by navy, air force, and missiles.

Again alliances reduce defense costs. So doing things allies care about like supporting a country against a major geopolitical rival is easy decision.

The only reason Ukraine would give up land is if they get NATO membership. Russia has a history of just coming back later, so Ukraine doesn't gain anything by letting Russia consolidate unless they can get a firm assurance that they won't be invaded again (which again only NATO membership would provide as I'm sure most people don't trust Russia at this point).

Isn't that why the West started a major smear campaign against Tucker Carlson as soon as they got news he was going to interview Putin? Before the interview even happened. LoL

Sometimes I'm reminded that some people don't know about Carlson, how stupid and how awful he is. Some kind of pro-Carlson propaganda is apparently working if that's what some people think.

Is this part of the smear campaign? I guess same can be said of most (all?) western media, Tucker is just one of those. The point is not about Tucker Carlson. or Putin. And why I do not bring up the actual interview with Putin because you will just write off what Putin said as 100% BS. I understand it is easier that way.

The smear campaign, people calling for bans and boycott before the interview, proves how fragile the US lies are. Musk had to come out and say he will make sure it airs. My points was how scared shitless everyone was that someone with an audience would talk to Putin. Scare shitless some of you might glimpse some truth of the situation.

Besides, we only fight enemies who can't fight back. American's direct involvement in a war against Russia and or China means the war will also happen in American soil. We don't have the stomach for it!

Tucker Carlson is not in prison nor has he fallen out a window as many journalists in Russia have. Both his and Putins history of lies are also a factor in why some may not fully embrace your "truth".

Heck despite having pretty good evidence that him and Fox undermined our democracy for ratings they are all still free. So say what you want, but I think one side has more fear of the truth than another.

This quote is taken out of context all over the place. It's not talking about socialism/communism, or poverty or deprivation or anything like that. It means that you won't own things because everything will be renting or gig economy instead - like you won't own a car because it'll be cheaper and easier to order up a self-driving uber, or because the companies will sell everything in terms of services rather than ownership. Whether the quote is accurate remains to be seen, but it's not anti-capitalism or anti-property like everybody tries to interpret it as.
