Uhhhhh....not until about ~t115, when I started one-turning techs to boost my score before the t120 mark. I really should have beelined it since I had ivory, but I was operating under the unspoken assumption we were playing without WEs. You don't by chance have a screen of that amazing catapult of yours that survived for so long?
Sunrise, plako, bob, davy, kyan, and I started an inland sea ancient start and got 60 or so turns in, though due to technical difficulties and a lack of bob's interest we probably won't continue.
Nothing too interesting from my perspective, though I think it is noteworthy that this was my first such game and I didn't die!!!
EDIT: crosspost with sunrise
Played in: PBEM 4 [Formerly Jowy's Peter of Egypt] | PBEM 10 [Napoleon of the Dutch] | PBEM 11 [Shaka of France] | EitB XVI [Valledia of the Amurites] | PB7 [Darius of Rome] | Diplomacy 3 [Austria-Hungary] | PBEMm/o vs AutomatedTeller
So you knew I was vulnerable, and killed me before I could kill you with a knight timing attack! That makes me feel better
You can see the upwards tick in crop yield and GNP after Colossus and Monarchy came in. There's a world of difference between being able to work 4 tiles/city, and ~10 tiiles/city. But a little too much focus on military, and not enough on not dying.
Played a ren (!) inland sea game, me, bob, tatan, and shoot vs elemist, davy, superjim, and pindicator. Shoot and I were on the front and both of us managed some successful attacks, and the other team conceded after losing a civ plus another city.
