Good turn. Great report.
Lets hope we hear from our neighbour soon.
I agree with scout move next.
Horses locations are far from perfect. But if we assume every team gets it this way, its make early chariot rushes more unlikely, imo.
We need our second warrior explore south maybe? There should be some seafood, cause CareBears got Clams pretty close to their capital.
We can hope there is a Fur also.
Now we'll wait for T25 and hopefully we'll see something interesting east of the capital. 2nd warrior at T39-40 followed by 3rd. And BW on T44. After that we should decide on dotmap for cities #3-6.
Known civ bonus not enough so far. To my knowlege, we had to meet 4 civ with Mining to get extra bpt in current situation. It's gettin better once we improve our commerce.
C&D. Noone build warrior this turn.

Turn 21 - 3160 BC
We moved our scout, and saw their worker mining a sheep. And ... they also have wines in their capital!
I wish we had wine right in our capital -- it would make the Monarchy beeline even more beneficial to us. Also, since all teams presumably have 3 food resources, they probably have irrigated corn or a flatland pigs to provide 6 food, and their worker is on his second true tile improvement.
We did not receive a message back from Team CareBears, though they did log in the game one more time last turn. They put all their espionage points on us.
I suggest the scout go 9-9 next turn.
Score changes: 5 teams increased in score (but not us).

According to the technology research explained FAQ, this is the basis of the known tech bonus:
Quote:1) Multiply 0.30 by the number of KNOWN, LIVING civilizations, who have the tech.
2) Divide by the number of civilizations which STARTED on the map and ROUND DOWN to the hundredth place (0.01) of the quotient.
3) Add 2) to 1
Tech Known by Civilizations modifier = 1 + RDDW (0.30 * # known Civs who have the tech / # of Civs who started the game)
So known, living is 0.3 * 1 = 0.3, and dividing that means we essentially get 0, but doesn't the third step mean we get an extra beaker anyway?

I'm not sure my calculation was correct, but 3rd civ will give KnownCivBonus=1.09
11*1.09=11.99
So its not enought to get us bonus beaker.

Ah, so if we multiply whatever we get to our research rate, that's the effect?
That explains things.

Its still a good thing to make as much contacts asap. There is 7FIN, so they probably will research faster than us.
I'm sure we get few bonus bpt on BW, not on fishing tho. And once we improve commerce and go on binary slider mode, its a nice bonus.
Speaking of binary research, I think our slider had to go 0% for several turns after writing. Untill we build 2 libraries. Its kinda obv but just to mention it.
We'll have more time to decide our next tech and probably get some more known tech bonus on it.
I agree with suggested scout move.

I'm too lazy to get a link on real formula, but as I remember its something like:
BPT=FLOOR( FLOOR( ( FLOOR(TotalCommerce*Slider%)+1)*KnownTechBonus)*PrereqTechBonus)
EDIT: No, lets check it:

Are all the images showing up earlier (t20)? I was shuffling things around in my Photobucket albumn, and things may have gotten messed up.
