This turn was very disjointed, some idiot managed to disconnect his own wine source. ![frown frown](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif) It's not like my turn is even too complicated right now. Military situation hasn't changed much since OH's retreat and micro isn't going to really change until the starvation starts.
Also seen, the Aztecs emptying their EP reserves to destroy 3 Cathedrals in Elensefar. Not too worried about that yet. But it's looking like I can't take Browner, so they will have a spy per turn and pretty much infinite EP points. I emphasized enough gold building to rush the Confucian Cathedral next turn.
I do have a lot of vision of the Aztec land this turn.
Looks like they're completing the space techs this turn, beating my estimate. But I don't think they'll manage to complete the parts next turn, so I guess it evens out. They'll actually need to do some work to complete them T263. Nice to see that the WW had some effect after all.
OH put 35 units in Browner and after bombing I only got 50% odds:
I decided to wait until next turn at least with the extra units available but it doesn't look good. Next turn OH can pump up the aircraft building again too. At least it's a lot of units tied up so dtay's coast should be safe again.
Krill's Great Artist:
and I gave him pretty much the same offer as GJ:
I'm also wondering if BGN wants to play after me for some reason since he still hasn't played after I took so long. No sign of a fleet yet though. Guess a bit of paranoia can't hurt.

Someone's switched attention to Basilisk Caves, which is a bit more worrying. I debated delaying the Cathedral in Elensefar so Id have the gold to rebuild this next turn, but asked GJ for 350g for 40gpt instead.
Browner's not getting cracked I think:
Unless maybe I dial up some more bombers? But then I lose gold and OH can probably put up a fighter screen pretty easily. I guess we'll just continue the stand off here and see what their spies can do.
I intend to choose my starving date based on maximising my culture 1t before their spaceship lands, rather than the earliest victory date possible. That would run the risk of falling short due to espionage. So, still no need to think about it for a few more turns.

Yeah there's no need to work for the fastest possible date as long as you beat the spaceship ![smile smile](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/smile2.gif) What's its status? You estimated they launch T263?

Well it's T264 now and the ship still hasn't been completed. From the T261 screenshot, it looks like everything should complete this turn. I think T264 was my original guess, but they beat my tech estimate by 2t(I really should have expected 1t shaved off due to starvation, the second turn is impressive) and have fallen short on my build estimate by 2t. Which is pretty surprising, given their competence on everything else so I wonder if some sabotage was involved.
As for ourselves, Weldyn is chugging along well and I can probably move the Palace in 3-4t. Elensefar is around 42k culture and Basilisk is around 14k I think. We have 8 artists, including the one bought from GJ. So, assuming we make the ~93% artist in Basilisk Caves, both only need 4k more culture, which is easy. There's a pretty good chance I can get another 4k in one of them to eliminate that 7% shot. I'm thinking Elensefar right now, which is still a better culture producer than Basilisk, despite losing most of its Cathedrals. But I think the Basilisk attack was by BGN, so OH may still be ignoring it.
Oh, and Krill's artist has gone to sleep in Elensefar. He didn't send me back a trade offer or try negotiate or anything, so who knows what he's doing.

BGN's fleet shows up in the nick of time:
OH is unloading his spies on the tile my spy is on. Source: only valid location you'd unload spies in by Serpent Ford and I've got 'you captured spies by Serpent Ford' messages. Also confirmed by the little cheat below.
I'm trying to figure out how to stop them but I don't really see a way. The best idea I had would be to split my fleet up into the 3 tiles in front of the plako city, which would delay the spies a bit, OH doesn't have the fleet to remove me. But when you split my fleet in 3 try and add BGNs, it's a different story.

I noticed earlier in the game that you can catch the lurker civs Great Spies with your workers in the domestic tab, as suspected it works for normal spies too.
But anyway, there's nothing we can do to stop all the espionage. Instead we began our starvation:
Need to hit Legendary EOT 273 to beat FinHarry. If we land the final artist we'll be good. Without further spy actions, Elensefar will fall 400 short of the 50k mark. Basilisk will beat 22k culture by 1k. Moving the Palace is worth roughly 1k culture in Basilisk, so I think that's the best location. I think we'll be pretty close but OH probably should be able to slow me down enough if we miss the artist roll. Need to consider dry-rushing Cathedrals back in Basilisk.
I wish I could destroy the railroads on the way to Basilisk to stop the spies reaching.

A lot of bombers re-appeared in French land this turn. So I decided to give up Sablestone. 2 move commandos can hit Serpent Ford or Fort Tahn and retreat, so they require a significant garrison. I think I can hold Arcanclave, since it's on a hill, not in range of a lot of bombers and I'd like to keep my fleet out of open water for the moment. Destroyers will block a third of incoming planes too.
Regarding my air force, I think I'm best off just suiciding it into BGNs to cut down on his numbers. I don't want to put them on intercept and let someone else get to attack them. BGN hasn't declared war yet though, which gives me some opportunities, though I decided not to take them this turn, so I don't want to declare myself yet, just in case.
BGN's fleet has no units defending it btw. Harry is stopping me from killing it, but if Joey or Krill had any wandering stuff, actually, Krill just needs one loaded transport in range of 1 of Plako's southern cities, then that is a lot of dead troops. ![yikes yikes](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/yikes.gif) He had 30 infantry covering it last turn, so that's what they must be full of.

Also, GJ built the UN. If we could pass the Single Currency resolution, that would be a nice culture boost.
