(July 2nd, 2015, 15:53)Boldly Going Nowhere Wrote: While playing my turn the game froze (timer stopped, no unit inputs accepted, etc) but I was able to navigate from city screens, demos, etc. So not a typical failure for me. I logged out/in after a couple of minutes and was greeted with the PB28 civs/players login screen. I had not changed the port number before attempting the second login.
May need a reset?

This ~90m window was my only opportunity to play today. If you guys don't want to concede to me then I'm very likely going to need a pause.
Posting in unified tech thread now for tech support.
Interesting, this has happened a few times to few players in PB25, but this is the first time its happened to someone outside of that game. I wonder how this happens? It's very, very strange that the bug connects you to a port from a different game rather than just blocking you out completely, if, say, you were just blocked on that one particular port.

I just tried to log in, got through the leader select, the bar went up to 100% to just before it normally kicks into the game but then the program just froze and I had to kill the process. I've never seen this kind of freeze before.
Edit: Second try did the same thing.

Try it again. I think I may have left home earlier this evening while on the civ select screen. There was a pop up notice saying someone had failed to connect to me but I have no idea who or when. I've closed the client now so if someone tries and fails after me now it isn't my connection. I think....

I can't play tonight but the game is still up. Paused with just over 6h to go, me, AT, Molach to play. I'll get it in the morning.

Playing now. AT, I'm guessing just let it roll for you when I'm done? 2:45h left.

Hmm, I'm going to log in and unpause to let the turn roll.
Reasons:
- AT hasn't asked for a pause.
- AT was happy to let his turn roll before and his logins seem pretty short.
- Xenu appears to be quick of the mark with reloads these days if needed. Just a note here, I have an artist roll this turn, so if AT does want a reload I'll take whatever comes up on the second roll after the reload.
- It looks like there's still 1:30 hrs on the clock if anyone objects.

Shall I let AT know whether he needs to reload or not TBS? How many tries are we allowed?

Hah, you know I considered putting some sort of caveat into that point.
Anyway, I'll trust AT, and more importantly my sacrifices to the RNG God.

I would prefer to avoid a reload if possible on a critical turn like this one. You're both good fellows but let's not tempt fate. :P
Edit: I should have checked before posting, the turn has already rolled. I hope whatever the RNG gods gave you guys that much suffering and destruction will ensue.
