Question for lurkers.

A Great Scientist give you 1500 beakers plus 10 per pop point (is that pop for the whole civ)

Also does the pre-req modifier get taken into account with that.

For example you have a pre req modifer of 1.4 (2 techs)
say 20 total pop

Scientist would generate (1500 + (20*10)) *1.4 = 2380 beakers towards a tech?

Am I right in that?

It's 1500 plus 3 per pop point, which is pop for the whole civ. The pre-req modifier does not apply, and neither does any modifier for devaluation if other civs know the tech.

Well Regoarrarr built the AP with Hindu. Drat there are 12 buddist cities and only 5 are mine. He has one I think it would have been a better choice. I will try to get sunrise to send me a missionary and spread hindu.

Started edu. Lins will send a scientist to help bulb it along. MH/Kodi are 1 from finishing edu but this will at least push them I figure I will have it finished in 8 or 9 turns

I will not be fighting any wars by proxy. I wont provide troops to another to fight nor allow ROP (right of passage) to a third party to attack you.

As for EP's are you suggesting we drop them to 0 I had alread cut the production in half.

As I said it is good to hear from you and lets keep the lines of communicaiton open.

I am currently trying to build some much needed infrastructure. But also need to get out about 8 more settlers. I just finished 3 workers and am still short. Going to have to pause and build 2 settlers and 2 more workers after current builds.

I have my 10 xp unit and HE is a 6 turn build in capital. I am growing my cities to thier max but will slow a couple down for settler and worker production.

I think the capital is going to build abunch of missionarys after a grocer (hitting health limit)

Question are harbors worth it? Should I be building them?

I'd be interested in hearing a more knowledgeable lurker's opinion on this. I tend to build a lot of infrastructure (as evidenced by the pbem game) assuming most buildings are worthwhile and I've since discovered that probably most aren't unless in a specialized city of that type, ie. library in a science city.

Yes I also would like to hear from the MM masters. I am building one in the captial to see how good it is.

My thinking is I have 2 trade routes worth 2-3 each. Harbor would act as and extra trade route but I also needed the health and it was faster than a grocer.

I would consider this a good trade off for the hammers. Here's to hoping somebody can actually confirm this huh
