If you're on Windows 10, check if it installed update 1607 overnight. I saw a lot of people reporting this update breaking things for them (although none Civ5-specific)
Beyond that, can't really suggest anything more insightful than the usual "update drivers, check event log in case it has anything useful"
Good luck!

Is it even possible to sub in GMR?

Ah you're right. So we'd have to start over which is certainly not optimal. Let's just give Pindicator some time to try and fix this.

Although, I imagine you could play if Pindicator was willing to share his Steam username + password with you, if it will work how I think it will work. Better for him to try and fix things first though.

I think if a player surrenders in GMR, that spot can be taken by another player. Surrendering simply gives control over to AI, and AI spots can be taken over. I think it's too early to go there though - hopefully Pindicator can fix the problem

You might be able to email the save file to your sub, they play, email back, and the original player uploads to GMR.
Jesus christ what a fucked up system.

Actually, if Pin and Adrian are up for it, would you guys mind doing this while Pin tries to figure out what's going on with his system?
I would just love to get a turn in before tonight (gotta move that warrior )

Considering Adrien is in Europe and it's 2:25am for him, I wouldn't count on it...
Nicolae - who knows, maybe technological advances allowed Civ6 developers to include native PBEM support. Maybe they even made a breakthrough and allowed to play PBEM on custom maps. Would be revolutionary, wouldn't it
